We sadly didn’t get to explore the actual state park since such a short stay. We went to nearby town (Santa Claus) and went to Holiday World.
Only con was the distance to the water spigot. Thankfully we had multiple hoses.
Clean sites, most are gravel and level.
Trimbleclan would stay here again

I camped here with my parents 55 years ago. Finally got back. Camped in my Teardrop and loved it. Beautiful, clean, quiet, wooded, shady, with a Lincoln Memorial across the road that is well worth stopping at.

We had a peaceful stay; the bathhouse was clean, showers were comfortably warm. My only complaint would be that the site have little privacy. This was not an issue for us as the campground was only about @1/3 capacity; at a busy time that might be a concern. We were here at the beginning of October 2017.

The waterfront sites are perfection, you're close to the water and a short walk away from the beach. Of course, my review is skewed because there was only one other camper there. I'm sure in the summer it's not as quietly pleasant.
The park the safe, clean and quiet. It's right across the street from the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, and the state park has its own pieces of Lincoln history as well. The town of Santa Claus is nearby, we only stopped by for petrol, but it looks kind of interesting.
Overall, we loved our stay. We would definitely come back here, especially in the summer to enjoy the lake a little more. (But we thoroughly enjoyed our quiet loner camping too.)
