Lincoln Rock State Park is one of the best state parks you'll stay in in any state you visit. It's a beautifully maintained park about 8 miles North of Wenatchee, WA on Lake Entiat, formed with the county PUD built a damn on the Columbia to generate electricity in the early 60's. Central Washington is a dry desert landscape, but this campground is watered and maintained. There are hiking trails that are accessible to those with physical challenges. There is a swimming area and play area for kids. There's a soccer field. There are full hookups, partial hook ups, and dry sites for tents. Don't have any of those, there are cabins. Again, it's an oasis right on the Columbia/Lake Entiat that is worth a visit.

Lincoln Rock State Park is an oasis of green about 8 miles outside of Wenatchee, WA on Lake Entiat (an impoundment on the Columbia River). For our mid-July stay, we made reservations eons ago and, given how full the campground has stayed, I’d certainly recommend reservations during high season. Lots of active families and groups with motorboats, but it quieted down pretty well after 10pm.
The campground has three loops, one with full hook-ups, another with water and electricity, and a third with no hook-ups. We stayed in the dry camping loop in site #18. An excellent site with shade and just steps away from the water!
Roads and pads are paved. Each site had a picnic table and fire ring. There are huge areas of lush green grass. Mind the posted watering schedule or you may get soaked! 😊 We did not use the restroom/shower facilities, but everything about this park was well maintained. We enjoyed ice cream and shaved ice at the park store, the staff there was so nice, I asked for a shave ice without syrup for Riley and they wouldn’t let me pay. Said they all have dogs too. Riley is a solid fan.
Excellent walking and biking trails. You can connect the Rocky Reach Trail with the Apple Capitol Loop Trail for a 22 mile ride. The sculptures along the trail in Wenatchee’s Waterfront Park were especially fun.
We had 4 bars of Verizon 4G.

We stayed in the no hookup site area and had a wonderful experience. Very few people mid-week, mid- to late September. (The outer loop in the no hook up area is $30/night.) The full hookup area was busier when we pedaled our bikes through it. The showers require tokens (get them at the dispenser on the back of the ranger station at the entrance, roughly 6 mins of hot water per dollar).
There was someone driving a side by side selling firewood for $6/bundle if you wanted it.
Checkout time was 1pm and you could park in the day use area if you wanted to stay longer.
Easy access to the beautiful bike path that goes to town. We got coffee and a scone at Mela.
Discover park pass fee included with camping fees.

We had a full hook-up site, so we didn't use the bathrooms and showers, but everything around the park was well cared for. There are docks with boat slips that you can rent while staying there. There is a wonderful swimming area and clean clear water. There are lots of paved walking and biking trails and one that even goes all the way into Wenatchee while winding around through orchards and along the Columbia River. We will certainly return.

This park is typical of those found in eastern Washington, with large expanses of manicured lawns and plenty of shade trees. We spent just one night while on our way elasewhere. Since we came in right after Labor Day weekend, the park was quiet and we didn’t need a reservation to get a spot. Like the previous reviewer, we thought the dry camping sites in Loop 1 were the best. From our site, we had nice views out over Lake Entiait (an impoundment of the Columbia River) and over to the rocky cliffs on the far shore. Our loop was only about a quarter full, but when we took a stroll around the park after dinner, we noticed that Loop 2, with the full hook-ups, was pretty full. During high season this park is probably very busy because of its access to the lake and the river. Motorized water sports of all sorts are very popular here at that time of year so whether or not you’d like the park then depends on how you feel about speed boats, jet skis, etc.
Besides the campground there are also some cute little cabins one can rent. Four near Loop 2 had neat water views. Washington State Perks has gone to a tiered system on the pricing of their campsites. You’ll pay more for a “premium” site than for a “standard” site. Kinda sucks, but that’s the way it is. Our site would normally have been $35, but for the fact that we have a low income senior pass that gives us a discount. $35 seems steep to us for a dry campsite!

We made a last minute reservation a few days before arriving and was able to choose between two available spots.
There are 3 campground loops at Lincoln Rock State Park. Loop 1 (sites 1-27) are dry camping, no hook-ups. Loop 2 (sites 28-59) have full-hookup with 30 & 50 amp electric, water and sewer. Loop 3 (sites 60-94) have water and electric hookup. The campground loops sit along the Columbia River so some of the sites have waterfront views, we thought the sites in the dry camping loop had the most fantastic views of the river (especially site 12).
