Made reservations online Reserve America. The park is located off Route 28 on Limekiln Road, the turn is right next to Inlet Fire Department. Upon arrival I met the caretaker at sign in, nice gentlemen. The interior roads are mostly paved and nice. My site was away from the water and on the upper level where few people camp. I choose this site because of that. There are no hook up's and cell service is sparse. There is a dump station and water to fill your tank. Food/cooler lockers at each site to keep the bears at bay. Most folks like to camp in the main area that is on the water or close and there are plenty of them. Some sites are large , some are smaller so make sure you check your RV length. They fill up fast so get your reservation in early. The park has nice showers and bathrooms, boat launch area and a beach. At night the loons sing and sing (YouTube ADK man). I made this location my base camp as I ventured into the Moose River Plains, the entrance is just past and across from the campground. I also headed out to Big Moose Lake area. There is a gas/groceries just down the road from the fire station. Nice paddling area, bring bug spray early in the season, but was not bad when I was there in mid June. The route 28 corridor from Blue Mountain Lake to Old Forge is all a nice area, and a easy drive. So much to explore! I will be back!!!

Limekiln Lake is a little bit off the beaten path, but not far from Old Forge. It is a older, somewhat primitive campground without hookups.
Sites are wooded with plenty of privacy if that's what you desire. The sites on the lake front fill up early, but plenty are just a short walk from the lake.
The campground is hilly, since it is on the shore of the lake, but sites are well laid out so that you have a good level spot. We saw several sites that were closed for remedial work where they were putting in new gravel and improving them.
Bath houses, rest rooms, water, and a dump station is available. There is also a garbage/recycling station that they request you use to keep the bears in control. Each camp site also has a bear box to store your food safely overnight.
There is a boat launch.
Generators allowed during certain hours.
This is a nice place to go to get away from it all.
