Our site had a covered picnic table with a view of the water. Hookups are connected to the open-sided buildings where the picnic tables are located, so back-in is probably necessary (it was for us). We were there in Feb and had no problems with bugs, in spite of the wetland area.
Although the park is close to the causeway, it feels remote and very natural, which we enjoyed.
Water pressure was good, Starlink worked well but with a few short drop-outs during peak times, which seems to be the norm and not a function of the location.
There is some road noise when there’s a shift change at the factory across the causeway. Very quiet at night.
Camp host was very friendly and extremely helpful. We really enjoyed bird-watching from our rig, and would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for 3 days on two occasions. Space 39 was a bit too close to the splash pad with a lot of kid noise. Better to hear them out playing rather than watching them play electronics. One night the noise went on until 1:30 AM. On our second visit we stayed in space 45, much more quiet.

Camped in our 30’ TT here so hubs can fish & I can crab. SO LOUD being right off the highway, but conveniently accessible. There’s 2 HUGE piers & boat ramp, lots of spots for RV’s w FULL hookups, even our own cable & DUMP hookups + covered cabana & table. The guy in golf cart came whizzing up to us about 10 mins after we parked. Bobby was his name, super friendly.
There wasn’t anyone in the front to tell us how much per night, so he said we have to go to the website & pay $60/night. Seems quite high, but cheaper than a hotel I suppose.
Very small beach area with hatch umbrellas & playground for kids- NO DOGS ALLOWED ON BEACH!!! Also NO FIRES OR GRILLS ALLOWED anywhere in this park!! That screwed up most of our eating plans! Oh well. At least it’s close enough to the handful of restaurants- if your lucky enough to be here when they’re open. A lot are only open on certain days & weird times. If you’re wanting good seafood places- you’re outta luck in this town! Only 2 places here.

Because it’s a county park it is kept clean and mowed and doesn’t have any trash. Good for birding for sure birds and plenty places for kids to play.

$35 for a slot as big as your rig with trash and the sewer hookup full of leaves. $40 on the waterfront better BUT camp is long term folks living here. Diesel trucks starting at 6 am. County trucks driving up and down at 7. Cable doesn’t work but lines still there. No WiFi. No one in site. Called city hall 3 times.

This was a nice site looking out over the Gulf. The access to the campground was very easy off of Hwy 35. The electrical was recently upgraded but during our stay the boardwalk was not repaired after the hurricane.

A city C/G convenient for travelers along the gulf shore. There is road noise, but not seriously bad. Most importantly the C/G is well managed, by a city park and beach, has long boardwalks out over the marsh grass and is a pleasant stop near shopping and eating.
The old city center is afun place to explore when out and about.
