Lichen Cliff Fishing Access Site

This site is a Montana Fish and Wildlife fishing access site. It sits right along Recreation Road at the intersection of Lyons Creek Road and across the road is the face of the cliff. There's a surprising amount of traffic using that intersection, at least during evening hours, so it's a bit noisy and it feels kind of exposed. It's also within earshot of Route 15, so there's noticeable highway noise.

It sits along the banks of Little Prickly Pear Creek and there's access to the creek for fishing and swimming. While we were there some local kids stopped by for a dip although the adult with them wasn't very friendly.

It's off the beaten path so we were the only campers in the area. Understandable as it's more of a swimming hole / fishing spot than a campsite. We were headed from Red Lodge towards Glacier, with plans to camp near Choteau, but were delayed and need a place to eat and sleep. It served it's purpose well but I wouldn't seek this place out or stay more than a day.

I only say one marked site which had a fire ring and picnic table. There was plenty of room for other sites but nothing marked.

There's a vault toilet which was surprisingly clean. Verizon service is decent.
