This is a nice clean city park. The park asks for donations. No power available if that's what you need. Our dog enjoyed laying in the shade on the green grass. We camped at Wheatland City Park in a Motorhome.

We arrived around 4 pm on a Tuesday, only 3 spots taken and we got the spot we had originally wanted anyway. Spots are level and easy to get into. Absolutely beautiful city park. Softball games were going on, and there were kids at the city pool. It wasn't noisy, just the faint sounds of summer drifting across the fields. There's disc golf, pickleball courts, tennis courts, skate park, playgrounds, bathrooms, and the cutest mini golf ($5 per person for adults). Everything is SO well maintained. We enjoyed a beautiful walk, then played mini golf. We saw a mama owl with 2 juvenile owls, so close we watched them for awhile. The train came through but I hadn't fallen asleep yet and it didn't wake my husband at all.

I think if I could give a 3 1/2 stars I would.
Pros:
lots of open sites to chose from.
There are flushing bathrooms.
Tables and camp grills.
It is a park so there’s lots to do! Basketball, tennis, skate park, the playground, frisbee golf and mini golf.
There is electricity.
Cons:
The sites do have a bit of a slant to them. Nothing that made it uncomfortable.
The bathrooms are almost on the other side of the park. It’s about a two-three minute walk.
With it being a park there’s people coming and going.
The electric hookup boxes were currently locked. Why? I don’t know, maybe it’s a seasonal thing. But there were outlets by a covered table area.
Over all it was a nice stay! I would definitely stay again and would recommend it as a great overnight stop!

Sites are best if you are smaller to get your rig level. A train came through at 3:30a and woke up our entire family. A few cars drove through after dark pretty fast. Overall, it was a decent stay outside of the train noise and the cars speeding through. Flush toilet available, no showers that I could find. I wonder if they are available during the summer months at the pool, but not sure...

This park has facilities for just about every conceivable past time. There is a pool within walking distance as well as a bar/grill. Town has good shopping. This town only has a population of 3500... Astonishing that they have a park this nice. One downside:. Close to railroad track. Train came thru early morning horn blaring.
