Legion Park Campground

This little gem is only about a mile and a half from Highway 11. It is right next to a golf course. And probably the only campground that we have passed in the last hour that is not smacked up on top of the railroad track. The railroad track runs parallel with Highway 11 so it’s a good mile and a half away. There are two areas with playground equipment, 3 large pavilions with picnic tables, Concrete bath house that has one shower and one toilet on each side of the men and women. There is a Sani dump and freshwater fill up. The six grass sites have electric and water at the site plus there’s about six more tent sites that are $10 a night With no hook ups. The sites are level. One local told me that it gets very full when there are stock car races in the nearby town.
