Our site was less than 50 feet from the West (upper) Walker River. Too much water flow for any serious fishing, but absolutely gorgeous. We didn't stay long enough for any of the hikes, but there are many from this site. Met some very nice people and really enjoyed the place.

Stayed here several nights while supporting a Ike on the PCT. Not far from Sonora Pass and on Hwy 108 off of Hwy 395 between Bridgeport and Walker. There are 17 campsites here and limited to smaller trailers and tent camping. My trailer was 24’ and just fit. Had a nice site with the river going just behind me. There is a Marine Mountain Warfare Training Center not far away and I had occasional platoons quietly running through the campground with full packs. There is good fishing here and PCT access at Sonora Pass about 6 miles away and several other hiking trails near by. There are no hookups here but fresh water available in a few spots. Pit toilets were always clean. Signs warn no semis with trailers over 35’ from kingpin.
