Lazy C Trailhead & Equestrian Campground

This camping area is easily accessible from the highway but the road is only wide enough for one vehicle, much less a trailer or RV. It might be wise to send a spotter down as backing up would be near to impossible with a tow. Other than that and a huge pothole right as you enter the loop, it was perfect. Shade if you want it yet plenty of open space for solar. The inner area was not level but the sites on the outside of the loop were reasonably so. Many tables and fire rings, high lines, and at least 2 corrals. The trail is marked next to the info boards and goes down to McCormack Lake and beyond where it hooks up with the Ozark Trail. Lovely and quiet with barely a whisper of AT&T with a booster. The vault outhouse is open-air - no roof.
