So I don’t know what some of those commentators are saying about rude staff but that was not my experience. In fact, they went the extra mile to accommodate me and my needs. Yep it’s sandy. You are in the Sand Hills in this area of NC. Tons of space to maneuver but I did watch someone pulling a 5th wheel cut the corner too short and listen to the married couple argue about how to not run into the building that has the laundry and restroom. 🤷🏼♂️
Tons of shade, nice walking trail for you and your 4 legged friends if you have them and I did. Good wifi that my booster picked up nicely. All the facilities were cleaned on a daily basis and the grounds are well maintained.
Overall great experience here. Highly recommended. Would stay here again. Oh and they give a military discount if that applies to you.

Hostess is very gruff to the point of rude upon arrival. Terrain is all fine sand. Some sites, like ours, are very tight. Had just enough room to extend slide out and just enough between trees to extend our awning. Concrete patio and picnic table, but no fire ring. Campground very close to airport and local drag strip. Airport isn’t busy, luckily, but I image noise would be an issue on race days. Charged extra for the holiday weekend and it’s definitely not worth it. New playground in the process of being built in newer section of campground. Small pool. Lake level very low due to dry weather conditions this year, but overgrown and could t have accessed the water to fish. Seemed like a lot of long-term residents by the looks of some sites. The young man camped behind us has been there for two years. The couple camped across from us experienced electrical issues which turned out to be breaker issue at the supply post and they had to move to a different site. They experienced a second round of rudeness from the hostess and were assigned another site that was awful and they complained again before getting a site suitable for their Class A Tippin. No attractions or restaurants nearby and Walmart is a few miles away.

When we arrived we decided against staying because the place was nothing but sand & all of their amenities were closed which was not disclosed when booking our stay. The owner yelled at my husband & refused to provide a refund on the basis of a credit card transaction charge. The owner had zero customer service & the lady behind the desk wasn't any better. We got most of our money back but he kept $10 just because he could. This is the first campground we've had issues with in over a year of full time RV living. Avoid the nightmare, stay somewhere else.

Stopped here overnight while traveling northbound on I-95. Hosts were friendly and an escort was provided to Site 8. This is a level, pull through site on sandy soil with pine trees providing good shade. There is a concrete patio, table and fire ring.
Site 8 is near the restroom facilities and I enjoyed an excellent wi-if connection at this location. Cable TV is available and ATT cell service was good
As this was a quick overnight stay, I didn’t try any of the facilities but the pool looked inviting. It is near an airport and flights do go over the campground, however I did not find this particularly objectionable. Access from I-95 is easy though the drive in is over a sandy, unpaved roadway. I would stay again for the night if traveling in this area.

The 3 rating is for noise due to the airport nearby, as well as weekend racing. The camp hosts were cordial and stated they have tried to work with the owner of the racetrack. With the planes, the good news is no overnight take off or landings. However, there is a 6am flight each weekday morning. Loved the trees and trails. If visiting here again, we would stay.
