The owner Nelson, and camp host, we’re very friendly and helpful! Campground WiFi was decent but we used cell signal for streaming and video calls. During the week there weren’t many campers and we loved having so much space to ourselves! There was a playground, fenced dog park, and basketball hoop on the campground too. We took a short drive to pick apples at Orr’s, would highly recommend! We stayed 6 nights and will definitely plan to go back in the future!

“A great place to tent with kids!”
Reviewed 6/22/2023
The kids loved the creek that we could access from our site. (not all sites had accessibility). Their was plenty of room and not cramped. The staff were incredibly kind.
Their is a porta pot nearby the tent area. The real bathrooms and showers are a little walk, but available.

Campground is located on a farm in the back creek valley with a mix of RV and tent camping. Tent camping is primitive and I believe most if not all sites have partial hookups. The majority of the sites are back in but there are some pull through sites which are much more spacious.
Owner are very friendly and check on you from time to time. They will bring your purchased firewood to your campsite with their tractor.
This campground is pretty much partial hookups, with water and 30A electric, no sewer. There is a dump station on the way out. They did have wifi which we could receive a strong signal from our site; however this is a rural area and their ISP was a wireless ISP provider, so speeds were slow (similar to dial up). We have AT&T which functioned well and we had about 2 bars consistently (4G).
They have a dog park in the back. The view of the creek was pretty and the view of the night sky was great without too much light pollution. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to from I-81 depending on what direction that you are coming from.

Definitely has that pleasant, comfortable, small town, family-owned feel- you feel well taken care of & looked out for there, & the staff is very attentive & treats you in a friendly family manner. As people who have always preferred very private primitive campsites away from people, we were a little nervous with it being such a large pretty crowded campground w/ close campsites that it might be noisy or of having obnoxious neighbors, but we found that everyone was very respectful & quiet, & there are also 'quiet hours' that are respected. Used the restroom during our RV setup & breakdown & they are very clean, stocked, & well maintained. Would stay again!

Lazy A is a pretty and friendly campground with a layout I've not seen before. It used to be a farm, and some of the structures still remain. the sites are along the edge of the very large property so most (not all) of them are in the shade of some huge trees. The center is all open grassland which creates a wide open feel. One side of the (again, massive) property is bordered by a creek big enough to swim in and fish or just sit in your camp chairs and cool off your feet. Many sites run along the creek, with some exclusively for tents.
Most RV sites have electric and water, but no sewer. There is an onsite dump station. The owners are a young couple that run it like a bed and breakfast. Multiple times in our two day stay they stopped by on their golf cart to just say hi and check if we needed anything. They deliver wood to your site with a phone call. We asked when check out was and he checked if anybody was using our site the next day - nope - and said just leave whenever. Just the nicest and most attentive owners you're likely to run across.
Some sites are better than others( 12 has wonderful shade), and it's all grass and dirt, so if there is rain I could see some swampy sites. There is an event space in the middle of the property. basketball court and play ground sand box that some little kids really enjoyed. Families everywhere but no one too loud.
Highly recommend if you want a nice place to hang out, wade in a creek, and look at the stars.

The owner's husband had offered to drive me back to where we left our truck, but was busy helping setup for a wedding anniversary party, so one of their friends drove me back. So Nice! This is one of the quietest places we have ever stayed!

Large 30amp sites, most with mixed sun and shade which back on to a small creek feeding the Backcreek River which runs along the campground edge. Also lots of riverside Tent or DryCamp sites, some with water, but no power. Owners are wonderful and visit with you without hesitation. Safe playground for kids. Put a fishing line, floaty or just a chair in Backcreek and Relax. Almost hate to share this Gem as we'll enjoy this solitude for the rest of our camping lives

Was at the campground during the Fourth of July Holiday. The best fireworks show that lasted about 1 hour! Loved the creek surrounding the campground! This campground is huge. The site we had was enormous! We will be back again next year! Bathhouse is very clean. The hosts are very friendly.
