If you’re a tenter, this site is worth going to. It’s the closest site that i know of this time of year close to mammoth, it’s not crowded and the ground is flat and soft. Service is spotty- sometimes i had 2 bars LTE sometimes nothing.

Hidden gem of mammoth. No hook ups, but we have all our own stuff so wasn’t a huge deal. Quiet, clean and secluded from the rest of mammoth. Lots of trees and privacy between sites. 10/10

“Extremely steep sites, not recommended for trailers”

We tried to find free camping in mammoth but this was a big mistake there is a narrow one lane road out to the lake. And very rough brush grown in around the road, we ended up scraping the side of our trailer.
