Nice, clean gravel pad, pool, super fast WiFi and an outdoor communal kitchen that is nicer than ours at home.
The only small issue is that Las Cruces is a very spread out city and the KOA is as far as can possibly be from White sands, but it is very close to I-10.
Very good place to stay.

Las Cruces KOA Journey was a nice stop for us for a couple nights. We met up with some RV friends and got spots next to each other. The spots were easily accessible and the roads were wide enough to easily back into. The hook ups were also well located and easy to use. We stopped here as it had somewhat reasonable access to White Sands National Park (about an hour’s drive), and it was convenient as it was about a mile off I-10. They also let us borrow sleds for free to use at White Sands, so that was a perk. There were the standard amenities such as laundry, a playground, a pool, and a dog park. There was Wifi available, but it wasn’t the fastest when I tested it out. The sunsets are also fantastic at this point. Very friendly neighbors as well as front desk staff. Would stay here again!

The campground is situated on the western slope that drops down into the city. It’s located a few blocks north of I-10, so there’s some road noise but not enough to be noticeable inside the RV. The road into the campground and up to the office is a bit steep but short. The campground as a whole is slightly sloped, with the back of the campground higher than the front. Even though our site (site 59) had us perpendicular to the slope, it was pretty level side-to-side. All of the RV sites have gravel surfaces, with concrete strips for you to park your tires on (although the office told us we could park anywhere in the site as long as we didn’t stick out onto the roads, which are all paved). Our site was long enough that we could have stayed hooked up and still had plenty of room to spare, and while most of the sites weren’t quite as long many of them are big-rig friendly. The regular sites have picnic tables and some have an adjacent tree: none of them have leaves while we were there so I can’t speak to the kind of shade they provide.
In terms of a view, the best sites are the ones on the eastern side of the park, which have a great view of the city below and the mountains beyond: a number of those sites are designated as both pull-in or back-in sites, depending on your preference. All residents of the campground can get a similar unobstructed view from the communal firepit located at the northeast corner of the campground, accessible via a short walking path. The mountains glow in red and purple hues at sunset.
The enclosed dog park is larger than average, with an airlock-style gate and several benches to sit on, with two benches located under a large pergola. Most of the park surface is sandy dirt with some gravel, but there is a rectangle of sod in the middle for those dogs that just have to have some grass. There are solar-powered lights attached to the fencing at regular intervals, which provided decent lighting at night until they run out of juice (though the lights from the office ensure the park is never completely dark). The dog park and the aforementioned walking path are really the only decent places to walk dogs within the campground, though it wasn’t an issue for us during our 6-day stay.
In terms of cell service, the best speed I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna was 7Mbps down and 13 up, but other than occasional buffering we didn’t have any issues streaming in the evening. I did experience the occasional drop and slowdown on Verizon during my workday, most noticeably when I was on a video call, but when that happened I could switch over to the free campground WiFi, which I clocked at 20Mbps down and 2 up. The best speed I got on my AT&T smartphone was 28Mbps down and 16 up.
Overall, this is a pretty nice, clean campground. The only negative that comes to mind is that the dump station has no hose, but maybe they don’t feel a need for it given there are only 4 sites without sewer hookups.
We would stay here again if we were in the area.

One of the smaller parks we’ve stayed at this trip (a good thing), it is terraced on a hill offering panoramic views of the town and mountains. A mix of pull through and back in sites as well as some really cool tent sites. Full hookups, no cable, and full facilities. All sites apparently have 30 and 50 amp service and our surge protection device did not like the 30 amp service - service would start, stay on a few minutes and shut down without blowing the breaker however our plug was getting hotter so we broke out the 50 amp adapter and have had no issues since. Staff is friendly and accommodating and there is a nicely appointed store as well as coffee and pastries every morning.
Slips are unusual in that they are gravel with concrete “strips” for the wheels. Ours was perfectly level although barely long enough for the combined 50 Ft of our rig. And, no grass for the pups. Speaking of grass, I cast no dispersions however
2G and 5G networks are available and speeds vary widely from 3 Mb - 24 Mb. In addition to erratic performance, we were dropped and then almost immediately reconnected numerous times on both networks. Further investigation revealed rumors about a three legged hamster on a wheel in a cage littered with Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies, some rolling papers and a vinyl copy of “Dark Side of the Moon”. There was foil on the roof of the cage and a black light providing the only illumination. Too tired to break out Dishy, I decided to grin and bear it. Should have enough bandwidth to post this epic. We give it a 6/10 due to electric issue, lack of usable internet and lack of grass for the pups. $63/night.

No power when we arrived and no emergency contact number. We left to stay somewhere that was safe and that could provide the services they advertised. Campground owner Leah refused to offer even a partial refund to us even though we didn't stay and due to the blackout. Avoid this Campground at all costs. The owner doesn't care whether her guests can sleep safely or use the services she can't provide. It's all about fleecing travelers sadly.
