Nightly rate of $27 is a weekly discounted rate. We stayed here in November 2018 while we visited with family in Miami and Key Biscayne. We were first offered a spot in Pod 3 which we setup at for the first day, but requested to move because of overgrown grasses and dilapidated RV's in this Pod. We saw that some of the other Pods had less trees, more sun and the grounds were better maintained. The sites also seemed much bigger than where we were in Pod 3. I'd recommend taking a drive through before selecting a site to see what works for you. Moving to Pod 2 felt like a whole new campground and we were happy there.
We did not get the chance to visit the pool. however it looked enjoyable. The laundry facilities were great and there were multiple laundry buildings throughout the campground.
The immediate surrounding area to the park does not provide much to do other than the Zoo. We were able to hear monkeys howling right from our site on some days which was pretty cool. We did not visit the lake either, but there was a nice walking trail that we enjoyed walking with the dog. The avocado trees are cool to see also! We were disappointed walking through the park to see how much garbage was left floating around. Not to say this is definitely a management problem, I just wish people would be more careful not to let extra shopping bags, balloons (who needs them.) and plastic packaging get carried away in the wind.
Wi-Fi was down when we first got to the park. We ended up using our data while we were there because as per usual, the campground wi-fi was slow. But cell phone coverage was good.
It took about 30-40 minutes to get to downtown Miami, and 40-50 minutes to get onto Key Biscayne. Because this is about the closest you can get to Miami with an RV, we would stay here again for that reason.

There's a park where you can go to sort of like a water slide is nothing fancy but it's fun for the kids, plenty of trails to walk In the campground has a pool Bathrooms are relatively nice Honestly to be Blunt for being in the Miami area i was sort of expecting it to be sort of dump! Surprisingly it's quite nice! Be sure to check this one out you won't be disappointed.

We arrived late so they escorted us right to our spot to make it easier to set up quickly. Extremely friendly staff. Campground is well kept and very clean. Beautiful bike trails all around the park. Grocery store 5 mins away on a bike. I diffently would come back in a heart beat.

This is easily the closest rv camp to the university and to key biscayne which is another must visit if you are in the area. The park offers onsite dry camping for about $30... Think just in an open field (no benches, fire rings etc) which is what we were planning to do when pulling in however, they mentioned they had one open full hookup site! Easy decision for us to pay a few more bucks for full hook ups, well worth it. The campground is adjacent to a nice park with an easy to navigate trail which many walk, run or bike on. They also have a large clubhouse with frequent activities including game nights, ice cream socials, potlucks and more. Other amenities include swimming pool, laundry, wifi and friendly neighbors :)

The worst customer service I have ever received/ experienced. I called ahead of time to see if there was any availability, which they said there was plenty for the amount of days I wanted. Once we got there the two girls in the front office very rudely told me I needed a mask. I don’t wear masks because of a medical condition and I told them I didn’t have one but I was quickly willing to wear one if they had it. They said no they didn’t have any. Well they refused me any service. My Husband then goes in and again very rudely was told he needed a mask. When he kept asking them questions about the campsite they bring out a big black guy to try and kick him out. My husband said they couldn’t do that and the guy agreed and said “you’re right no we can’t but we are refusing service.” So my husband stays in there a little while longer asking them questions and they said they were going to call the cops!! Geez, so my husband said ok that’s fine call the cops. They may or may not have called because they were hesitantly telling someone on the phone that someone refuses to leave. We’re very easy going. This behavior was totally uncalled for. They had plexi glass up, they were wearing masks (if that was their actual concern), the state does not have a mask mandate and this is how they treat people coming into their state and their place of business. No thank you!!
