As others have said, turn down 3rd street from Main Street, don’t follow Google maps!
Lander is a great small town and Sinks Canyon State Park up the road is very beautiful with the river. We would stay here again!

Needed to stop for a night on way to Yellowstone. Pulled in a little before 9:00p on a Thursday night when they had a concert going on in the park. Cars parked everywhere for the concert. But was able to find a spot in the back cul-de-sac right along the stream. Concert shut down by 9:30. By 10:00 it was quiet and we hit the sack. Bathrooms were close by and clean. Limit is three nights by city ordinance. On the Lander City website and via QR code on a sign at the park you can donate to help keep this open.
There were a number of camper vans, and RV trailers already there when we arrived. We were basically parked on the edge of the road and not in an actual camp site with picnic table. There are some spots with picnic tables.

There are more areas to park than you think, Campendium says 7 sites, but there were at least 20 on a Saturday night.. I see RVs right at the entrance sign lot, then there is a center section that looks to be the end, then another section if you keep going to the obvious end. I parked looking at the brook. One set of flush but basic bathrooms in center section. Landers is a good place to ride your bike or walk. I rode bike to Safeway and Mr D grocery, which is close, local, large and friendly. Trees for shade or sun. Feels like a safe area.

This is a city park that has free parking near a creek that runs across the border of the city park. The parking surface in gravel with some potholes. The parking lot was almost full. We camped in a Class A pulling a tow on the 4th of July and the fireworks were loud. We would stay there again.
