Really enjoyed the town. The houses are cute, the people are friendly, and I really enjoyed some good food. 68 Thai and the Rise were both excellent restaurants. There are also wonderful sporting goods stores.
My ATT was a little slow, but Starlink was solid.
I would definitely stay here again!

We pulled in around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon in late June and were able to find a spot for our 34’ motorhome. Most of the available areas had been spoken for, but we managed to get a spot not too far out of level. Most of the campers were in vans; we were the only MOHO. The prior reviewer adequately described the setting and amenities. One HUGE added bonus to either camping in or passing through Lander is a FREE dump station at the public works department. It’s open 24/7. There is only one poop-chute and one water spigot at the dump site. The water is designated for both rinse and potable, so don’t contaminate it with irresponsible actions. I called the PWD several days before to confirm the availability, and a very kind and informative person called me back with the open-hours info and the dual purpose water spigot. If you’re locating the dump station with an app, make sure you enter the PWD and not the water treatment plant; they’re two different places located a mile apart.

Beautiful site! Nice walking path and trails over the river. Quiet and spacious enough for our truck and 28’ camper. Counted over 30 tent campers/vehicles, 20 trailers/vans, but still room for a few more. Drive all the way back and you find peaceful quiet area.
Some back areas not even. Had to use a few levelers.

It definitely fills up at night, but there's tons of room to spread out along the road. We're all parked closer together than in a wilderness spot, but everybody has been very respectful and kind! Happy to share this space together.
Thanks, City of Lander!

This place is right on the bike path and has a playground just across the baseball field. Very little instructions on where you can park, but we settled in just next to some trees behind the bathrooms. On a Sunday night, it was fairly full, but everyone seemed to behave themselves.

Love this spot! Right next to a real pretty river. Not a ton of privacy, but a great stop over spot for those wanting to see Lander for a few days or just passing through. Free water and restrooms. Go to their website and donate for your free stay! Also free RV dump at public works nearby.

The river and trails are beautiful. Sleeping with the sound of rushing water. We came for one night and stayed two. The bathrooms are closed because of covid right now. Tents can go on the grass. The grass is green and well maintained.

Met and shared stories from the road with lot of other travelers, mostly climbers. People were really friendly and played with our three-year-old son. Very social and communal kind of experience.
There's water to fill a jug and bathrooms with running water. Great playground and shady grass areas. Popo Agie running clear and cold 10 feet away was perfect during heat of the day.
