The park was very nice. My husband fished for hours (bring bait as not available on site) and caught a lot of big fish (c&R only). Pool and hot tub were magnificent. Facilities were clean. Food at the casino was very good and reasonably priced, especially with the coupons. We were in lot 17 which has two dead trees so very little shade compared to the other basic sites nearby. I had read others complain about ants but that was 3 yrs ago but I was careful not to have crumbs. We had hundreds climb our water and electric cord into the camper. Talked to neighbors and they said they always bring ant spray when staying here. I have been spraying and killing ants every day since (2 weeks). Just be prepared.

We drove to the park and I was told to go ahead and register online and then the discount would be taken when we checked in. We were asked how old our RV was. If it was older then 10 years they wanted photos of it. We noticed a lot of older rigs here, so pretty sure age isn’t really going to be a factor. We were able to check in early, check out was strictly enforced at 11:00 AM. Sites are assigned at check in. There are a lot of rules, mostly common sense rules however.
We went for a premium site which backed up to the lake. We enjoyed the view and watching the wildlife. Most sites are back in, but some were pull throughs. Only some sites had picnic tables, all had cement pads and lots of shade. Other amenities included an amphitheater, small dog run, catch and release fishing in the “lake”, pool, hot tub, sandy “beach”, very clean restrooms and laundry rooms, WIFI, trash.
Lots of security in uniforms on golf carts. The campground gate closes at 6:00 PM, but you are given a gate code when you check in. The grounds needed some tending to. Some of the long term residents have nicely tended to lawns with mowed grass and flowers. There are a lot of geese droppings, we had to hose off our cement pad.

This is a nice clean campground and quiet. The spaces are good size and level. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you enjoy sitting around a fire at night, you'll need to bring your own fire pit.

They warned us they had an ant problem but since it was one night we figured we would be safe. We are very clean campers. Nope. We woke up to ants in our bed. Our trailer is infested now. Otherwise this is a well kept camp ground with mostly long timers

Based on positive reviews we called to make a reservation for 2-3 nights. We we're told our freshly polished & waxed 2006 Airstream was too old to enter their park as only 10 years and newer were allowed to grace their property. When I tried to explain all Airstreams look alike I was rudely told this was corporate policy and I should go to their affiliated site: Preferred RV Park which sounded a little used & abused with small sites per a number of reviews online. We were welcomed at a beautiful newer park Wine Ridge at a rate of $48/night which was half of that quoted at Lakeside. Two days later we happened to drive by Lakeside and noticed their property was far older than ten years & wasn't the nicest Casino/RV Park in town. Such irony!

Too bad the Casino and Cafe smell awful of cigarette smoke. Pahrump is beginning to grow on me after leaving Death Valley or Valley of Fire.

We used this site to break in our trailer. Overall, pleasant experience, full hookups, level site. Our kids loved the geese. Lake was nice. We checked in after hours and customer service was friendly and helpful. Best security guards ever! Would recommend this place for anyone looking for an RV spot outside of Las Vegas.

Trees, water, shade and decent space between sites. We're not gamblers but we had a nice stay here. We even used the pool and hot tub. Nice shade, ok dog run but extra space let let dogs play. Ok pond size for kayaking and paddle boats. We will stay here again.

After boondocking for a week this place felt like Disneyland. Kind of surreal! Very clean place with level sites. The lake is full of birds of all kinds which were the only noisy thing. Baths are dated but nice and clean. 5G WiFi was good enough to stream movies and work on websites.

Heard how great this place was for kids etc and we live close so wanted to stay there for Thanksgiving holiday. When I went to book she told me they do not allow pop up campers. WTH?!?!
