This is the third time I’ve spent a week at Lakeside. Very enjoyable. Great spot to kayak or SUP. Very busy on the weekends; try midweek in late spring or early fall. No water, vault toilets. $10.00 with discount. Very safe for soloists.

“Lakeside camping is possible! ”

We arrived on a Saturday, shortly after opening without a reservation.

This Forest Service Campground was a bit primitive. Most sites were huge encouraging some larger groups, sites were somewhat level, some were lakeside, some were tucked up into the trees, others had no shade, pit toilets, trash, fire pits, tables, potable water, paved road to the campsite, friendly host.

Access to OHV and mountain bike//hiking trails. The non motorized trails were VERY busy on Saturday and Sunday. People were fishing and enjoying a paddle on the lake.
