“Great little park”

Overall Rating

This is a great little park. There are 2 campgrounds. Lakeside is obviously by the lake. If you want to fish, swim, take out your boat you can do it right there. There are 2 bath houses in this campground and the picnic area is just around the corner. The downside of this campground is that the sites aren't very private and not real big plus it can get windy right by the lake.

The other campground - Oakridge - just added electricity to an entire loop. These sites are much bigger and more private. There is also a loop with non-electric sites if you really want privacy. There is a bathhouse in this campground, but it's a bit of a hike from the electric sites.

The campground offers bike trails (the website says 5 miles, but it's more like 2-3). You can do quite a bit of hiking and the most popular hike is to Mount Tom where you get great views of the surrounding area.

Before Oakridge campground added electricity I would've rated this campground lower because the campground gets very busy in the summer months and get be loud, but with the addition of the electric sites we'll definitely be camping here more.
