Better Than Average TT... great staff. Upcharge for 50 amp which we are used to and are fine with. Lots of annuals that visit their rig on weekends. 2 pools were very nice. Site 9 is convenient to both and is a nice wide and shaded site. Good place to meet family and enjoy camping.

We stayed in full-hookup back in site #B24 for two weeks. The site was secluded but not very level. Loved the tree shade and proximity to the lodge & laundry building. B section is also close to the lake. Campground staff members Julie and Natalie were absolutely fantastic. Everyone that we interacted with was kind and helpful. Lodge and laundry are both open until 8:00pm. Machines were in good shape and the price was reasonable at only $1.75 to wash and $1.50 to dry. The welcome center has quarter rolls available for purchase. We also checked out some clubs to play putt-putt golf and it was a lot of fun. No wifi currently available in the park but cell service was decent. My AT&T phone had 2 weak bars and my wife's Verizon phone also had 2 bars. We were also able to program all of the major networks (ABC, NBC etc.) as over-the-air TV channels. Sadly we suffered a sugar ant infestation during our stay. Make sure to spread Over 'n Out ant killing powder around the perimeter of your rig. We forgot to do this and ended up paying the price.

We stopped by here on our way to Arizona. Since it was January the park was not full and thanks to Covid there were no activities going on. We ended up staying longer than we had planned to deal with some engine trouble. With our Thousand Trails membership our stay was free.

Probably the nicest campsites of any thousand trails we have ever stayed at.
Small but functional and clean laundry room.
It’s a solid hour from north Dallas suburbs. Further to downtown.

The Activity center is closed for renovations, but there is still lots to do!
There are two pools available, one has a hot tub.
A playground my children loved, the slides are very fast.
There are hiking trails, putt putt, a basketball court (bring your own ball.)
Nearby town is Whitesboro, if you need a store like Walmart, Aldi, any other big store, it’s a half hour drive to Sherman.
We would love to stay here again.

Up the road a bit (north in OK) is a decent sized casino. Town is the other direction and not a whole lot there. Essentials can be had but don;t expect variety or the selection of a Walmart.

Sites are spacious and all the amenities are open. Although if you want to mini golf bring your own putters. Staff was friendly. This place has lake access, we’ll be coming back!

We rode out a winter storm here, so our experience may be a little different than others.
Bathrooms - clean, warm and kept running water despite -2 degree temperatures.
Staff - friendly, helpful, gave good advice on arrival, always there to answer questions. They refilled propane tanks even at the worst of the storm. Many of them stayed in their campers during the worst of it, but gave us their emergency number in case we needed something which worked great. Roads are in decent shape, not the greatest but not super full of potholes or difficult to pass.
Our site was super not level. Our fault for not paying attention to that when we picked it. Oh well, we worked around it.
Wifi - not quite working when we were there most of the time. Cell service was better than some campgrounds. We got decent coverage with verizon/visible, eh with tmobile, ok with ATT and very limited with sprint. We managed to be able to connect and even stream a few shows with our weboost on the sprint hotspot we have. Emails, basic communication stayed consistent throughout even the storm for the most part.
We did not lose water, but in the rolling power outages we did lose power on a 15/45 and 30/30 per hour rolling basis for several days. The whole state did, so that is not the park's fault. No one objected to our running the generator some when the power was out, others ran theirs too. Special circumstances and all. When they ran out of propane to refill tanks, they ordered a new delivery the next day and were able to keep everyone warm. At the end of the storm, maintenance came around to check all water/power connections and fix things. During the storm, very few staff if any were out in all of that. Which was how it should have been.
We would like to stay here again at another time when it's not below freezing 13 of the 14 days we are there. We did make it over to the lake before the storm hit and it does have a decent amount of lake access at the back. Due to covid some things were still closed - activities and pavilions etc.

It was very crowded and uncomfortable. The neighbors are racist. And on top of that their restrooms are very dirty and have inappropriate writings on the wall. Wouldn't recommend AT ALL!!!

We got a site right in front of the playground, which made it convenient for our 5 year old to play with other kids at the park. Also, the sites closer to the family areas had more space than the ones further into the park. People there were all friendly, and the guy (I forgot to get his name) was super friendly and welcoming.
