A nice campground that is especially good for families. The pools were open, putt-putt was opened and well maintained. There were movies playing on the large flatscreen in the clubhouse and popcorn made available. The camp hosts were approachable and friendly. We just so happened to be here during the eclipse (not planned). The place was obviously fully booked for the event which caused the dumpsters to overflow. The roads (formally paved) really need to be taken up. This was our second time staying here. We’re Thousand Trails members and really enjoy the perks. Our neighbors, not a TT member, paid $85/ night. My wife said, “We wouldn’t stay here for that price.”

Excellent sites, very large and long. Plus 20’ on each side. In the trees awnings may not open.

Easy check-in, premium site fee seems to no longer be a thing but 50amp is a $3 upcharge. Glad to see that change. The park was about half full according to the ranger at the gate, which seems about accurate. We had no trouble finding a waterfront site we liked and that was pretty level. The pads here are not new and some are crumbling more than others, but they are all old. They work for our 37' RV and we had a perfectly level side-to-side spot without any fuss, even though the pads are very worn.
AT&T internet was still good but not quite as fast as my tests in 2021. AT&T averaged around 40/25 during our stay, which was very usable. Verizon was not even able to complete a test. Tmobile home internet (5g) pulled 58-105 down and only 1-3 up, but it was always usable even with the low upload. I was surprised by the tmobile numbers as so many reports said it was not good, but at this time it appears maybe they have a new tower in the area.
We love the sunsets and tall trees here. There is a new restaurant at the activity center on weekends and we hope to enjoy it another time when we are here on a weekend.

For us this was a good location for visiting friends in Dallas.

Arrived at campground and check in at ranger station pretty easy and quick. Since TT is pick your own spot the ranger was able to recommend some spaces he knew were open to accommodate my 41ft 5th wheel. Arrived at space which was large enough to accommodate pretty much any size rig. Site was a little un-level to the passenger side but not unmanageable. Got set up and explored the campground. Many amenities here for the kids and nice views of the lake to take dog for walks. Dumpsters all over for easy trash disposal. Roads are a little rough but plenty large enough to maneuver.
Biggest downsides are there is not much around. Emory is about 15 mins away and has small town feel but not much there. Closest WalMart is about 35-40 minute drive. Lastly the park only has 4 washers and dryers for the entire park, which are old. Had to put clothes through dryer twice to fully dry.
Overall very relaxing stay and will stay again when we are next in TX.

It was a lot slower on the weekends and made streaming difficult a few times. Not sure I could have worked from my Verizon hotspot but luckily I didn’t need to with our AT&T plan and roof antenna.
Laundry room was a bit damp and there were only a handful of machines for a park that can hold over 100 RVs.
No propane on site (even though there is a tank by the guard shack). You’ll have to go 15 min or so into Emory to get filled up. We used Potts and they were great.
There are hiking trails that lead you to some beaches which we did almost every day.
All in all, it’s a quite location with some great views. Just don’t expect any of the buildings so be that nice or not smell like mold.

I use the T-Mobile Home Wifi and it has FULL BARS HERE! Can stream multiple devices at once! Can't tell you about any of the rest of the amenities as I arrived when dark, but the wifi is just as good as it was at my sticks home in Florida before I left!
