So disappointed in this campground. The park itself is very beautiful, it’s the campground area. Once we pulled through, we had no way of knowing until we got there and already paid for the week that all spots were “so” close. All cars were parked everywhere meaning lining the small street on both sides as well as parked on any and all grass spots. It seems that people keep (pay for a spot) their rvs here during the week and come back on the weekends. That's great for them - it just makes it difficult for travelers really.
With that said, we got out a day early because once everyone arrived on Friday we would be in a pickle to get out. And, let’s not forget about adults and kids playing up and until if not beyond midnight on all days. It was rough when I had to work the next day. I was a bit disappointed.
Updating my review due to the park reaching out and explaining a bit more. I truly appreciate that.

The good: the campground was easy to find, it was a winding road but nicely paved. Check in was easy and my site was easy to find, the pillars containing the hookups are numbered. My site was nice and level with a cement patio and newer picnic table. It’s very quiet and peaceful and surrounded by trees and a view of the lake. During the week I had decent service with my Verizon hotspot and was able to work with no issues and the campground has guest wifi that I could use for my phone or iPad as well since I wasn’t getting much service on those devices. There are no dumpsters, a service comes around every night and picks up the trash you just leave it out for them. The campground was close to sites like the New River Gorge Bridge. The bad (for me anyway): the majority of the park is seasonal campers with a lot of stuff. The weekend was packed with kids everywhere which is totally fine and expected at a campground but when everyone left it was like they just dropped their stuff where it lay and went home. There were bikes and toys left all over the place and even clothing items left on the basketball court. The pull through road is blocked off so it’s not really a pull through site and I had to drive through an empty site to hook up and then back out of my site which was kind of weird. Also, while Beckley is only about 15 miles away, due to the windy roads, it takes over a half hour to get anywhere. Just something to keep in mind if you need to make a Walmart run or forgot enough groceries. Overall, I would not stay here again. It has aspects of a nice park but just isn’t my style. If you have children and are looking for a community vibe, this might be the place for you.

This ring road is the exit road from the pull-thru campsite. Fairly close to other campers but not near any roads so extremely quiet and peaceful. Rt 3 is very curvy and speed limit between 40-55mph. Campground is 3 miles up a winding road, 25 mph, good condition. I left early to get ahead of the fast drivers that appeared irritated by my cautious driving as I was pulling a toad
