Able to find a spot on a Friday night with no reservation. Hosts are doing a great job. Clean. Water available via spigot. Rvs at boat parking plus walk-in camping and some tent van sites.

Reservations can be had somewhere but generally there is an open spot in my experience. It’s pg&e property not calif state parks so. Less crowded

This campground is for tent or small trailers. Bigger Rv's can stay overnight at the lake parking lot. The camp host is locating on the right as you enter the lakeside parking lot. Most of the campsites are not level & its fairly tight to negotiate you trailer into a spot We stayed in #10 which was in the shade 90% of the day, but ... more

Lake Spaulding is owned by PG&E. We scouted the campground but did not stay here because there is no cell service on either Verizon or AT&T. The campground is suited to very small rigs and trailers due to a narrow twisty road and trees growing close to the edge of the road.
