“Great County Park next to large chains of lakes”

Overall Rating

Aug '22 - Really enjoyed this county park. There are 3 separate park areas and 2 have electric. There is a weekly discount rate as well. We stayed for 8 days in the electric then moved over to the non-electric sites for 3 nights. There are lake views on some sites but they'll be challenging to get. We did land a water site on the non-electric side and it was great! Even some sites on campground #1 where you could pull your boat to shore (we just launched it daily and the boat launch was really nice).

The falls are fun to climb around and the river /stream opens up to a ton of opportunities for fishing, kayaking, boating.

This is a favorite place to go for the locals and was pretty packed when we were here (Labor day weekend). There are limited things to do beyond be on the water, so be aware. But some pretty great sunrises!

Overall Rating

If you just want to relax this is a great place. beautiful scenery but was a little noisy at times. not a real lost to do unless you have a boat. although the falls were easy to get to with trails to view from every angle.
