Made reservation 2 yrs ahead of 2024 Eclipse. Called to check,camp had been sold, but we could still have a spot. Went ahead to see it & it was permanent seasonal site, isolated, no WiFi, poor cell coverage. Manager said they would move us to “ visitors” site for eclipse. We got there ahead of eclipse & they had been sold again! But th... more
Made reservation 2 yrs ahead of 2024 Eclipse. Called to check,camp had been sold, but we could still have a spot. Went ahead to see it & it was permanent seasonal site, isolated, no WiFi, poor cell coverage. Manager said they would move us to “ visitors” site for eclipse. We got there ahead of eclipse & they had been sold again! But they put us in the seasonal site, with no WiFi or cell & we still got to see the eclipse!!
I would not recommend, it is a seasonal camp, with many permanent set ups, not an easy drive w/ camper, not close to gas or food.
Is close to Lake Monroe, but not within walking distance.

My grandkids (8 and 5) came with me and my husband to spend the night at the campground and we’re charged $10/person extra above the $80/ night camping fee. My grandkids (8 and 5) came with me and my husband to spend the night at the campground and we’re charged $10/person extra above the $80/ night camping fee. My daughter and son in law came down the next day ($20 for then to visit) and $10 for their car. We were charged another $20 for the grandkids for the next day since they didn’t leave by check out at 11:00am. This place is ridiculous!!! Only one car allowed at camp site. Not even allowed to bring second car to site to drop off food! We will never come back again! We had other family come for the day and that was another $130! Not worth staying here. This information is not on their website and we didn’t know until a day before we arrived.

The folks at LMV have set the bar very high, since this was our first time out in our new 5er. The owner, Ron, was very kind and accommodating. Staff (Josie) was friendly. Quiet campground, even though it was packed. Kids playing were very respectful-and it was great seeing kids playing outdoors! Beautiful trails around Lake Monroe. C... more
The folks at LMV have set the bar very high, since this was our first time out in our new 5er. The owner, Ron, was very kind and accommodating. Staff (Josie) was friendly. Quiet campground, even though it was packed. Kids playing were very respectful-and it was great seeing kids playing outdoors! Beautiful trails around Lake Monroe. Close to gas station/convenience mart and cigar shop. ☺️ All the amenities are clean and in working-order. Other guests were friendly as well. We will definitely be coming back!

This was a very nice RV Park and the owners were very friendly. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I thought they were expensive compared to other comparable RV parks we’ve been to. This was a very nice RV Park and the owners were very friendly. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I thought they were expensive compared to other comparable RV parks we’ve been to. They also seemed to have a lot of expensive add-ons for everything (eg. it cost $10 for a person to visit for the day, $15/day for an extra vehicle, etc.). We ran into a glitch with their online reservation system so be sure to call and speak with someone and don’t depend completely on their online system. The issue somehow that let me reserve a site even though they had none available. They were very apologetic and found a water/electric only spot on the grass for us (we reserved full hook-ups). The park was kept clean and neat and we enjoyed our stay there. In the end it all worked out fine.
