THE GOOD
Site: Clean gravel site with pavement living space and picnic table.
Staff: Nice folks and helpful.
Location: Great place for beautiful scenic drives, amazing natural formations, and not too far from Death Valley (1 and 1/2 hrs). 30 min from Vegas if you want to visit. 5 min drive (you can also hike directly from the campground a couple of miles through railroad tunnels) to Hoover Dam.
Grounds: Clean but older so could use some facilities updating. Great considering it is within the NPS and funding might be short, even though this is the privately owned park (NPS campground is next-door). It's a well-known campground that has been around a very long time.
Cell: Verizon was great. AT&T was acceptable.
THE BAD:
Sites: All gravel and sites are tight.
WORTH NOTING (not good or bad):
Showers: The showers are old and lack privacy. For context, there is a privacy curtain sectioning off the 2 shower stalls and then a 3/4 curtain for the shower itself. Trouble is that you need to undress outside of the shower b/c it is a small stall shower, so you are potentially with the other patron getting undressed.

Our first reservation ever and it was such an easy process. We arrived just past sundown so the park rangers were no longer collecting at the toll booth on the way in so we didn’t get to use our pass. There is no light pollution so it gets dark, make sure your lights are on. Reservations were pinned to the bulletin board right outside the office with path instructions to our site but luckily, Camp Host Eleanor met us at the same time and was terrific. Roads are easy to navigate. Laundry room great but payment is through app, no quarters.
We stayed in a back-in Lake View Spot #22 for 2 weeks. An amazing amount of space, level double wide platform, 50/30 amp, campfire ring with bbq, picnic table, full hookups on both sides of your space and a wonderful view.
Short drive to hit the beach, 4x4 recommended on the dirt, for some sun, swimming, jet ski or fishing. There is also a large designated flight area for Model Aircrafts where we happened to witness helicopter rescue training.
We enjoyed the location so much that we decided to stay another 10 days. Moved to another back-in Standard site #1015 that sat across from Boulder Beach Campground. This site has plenty of space but requires gravel trailer parking with a level platform to our stairs along with another gravel spot for vehicle parking. We still had plenty of room to use our own fire pit as well.
Overall, would definitely return for a stay. Will try a Pull Through next.

Sites: The back-in sites with the lake view are not available for monthly stays. Lake view sites look like really beautiful spots for a week or less stay,
Stayed for 2 months (March and April 2022) because there is so much to see within an hour or two of the park.
Pull through full hookup. Generously long sites.
Site/parking note: Park closely behind your trailer/RV and your neighbor will do the same on their own space. With this in mind, everyone has a great patio space that is sizable. But, it relies on your neighbor parking like they should. If not, the neighbor's vehicle is about 5-10 ft from your door/window.
Laundry facilities are good. Uses the Wash Connect app.
Propane on site.
Good supplies in the campground store as well.
Verizon and AT&T service both worked about the same and is what we rely on for work.
Campground wifi (as most campground wifi is) was tough to connect to. If you could connect, it would work well enough for very light computer work.

We were doing a drive from the Grand Canyon to Zion and chose to make this a stop along the way. Stayed on a lakeview back-in site which worked very well for us. The park is probably 50% park models and 50% transients like us. Everyone was friendly and the staff were great at leading us right to our campsite. The interior roads are paved and we saw beautiful landscaping throughout. Rode our bikes on the tunnel trail all the way to Hoover Dam, and saw a couple of bighorn sheep scrambling above one of the tunnels.
Plenty of shopping in Boulder City. Used our America the Beautiful park pass to enter the Lake Mead Rec Area. Paved bike trails in and out of the Rec Area. Very nice state park adjoins this RV park - and we saw many large sites that could accommodate big rigs. Only negative was no reservations - so taking a chance on getting a site there. Lots to do in the whole area - highly recommend it.

There are two parks here, Boulder Beach is a National Park campground with no hook-ups and I heard the women in the office say you must have exact change and it is first come, first serve. Lake Mead RV Park is a private park, costs more per night, but has full hook-ups and clean bathrooms/showers. I didn't use the laundry room. The sites are gravel but was pretty level. The sites alternate in directions, are really long, and are really close together, so someone with slides next to another with slides, would need to maneuver in such a way to not hit the neighbor. The service is great, nice staff. The VIEW is beautiful. Well maintained and clean. Cell phone service was minimal, barely worked. The wifi they offered did not work. The park was pretty easy to navigate. And you cannot beat the location. Make sure you take the Northshore Drive (HWY 147), it offers amazing scenery and when you come out at the other end you are by Valley of Fire state park, so make sure to visit that area, the scenery was beautiful, they do close the park during hot days.

All rock and gravel sites, old bumpy asphalt roads. Mantinance has not been done here for decades it seems. We came here for the full hook-ups, laundry, showers etc the only reason...The shower room was old, beat up with leaks under the sinks, 1 of 2 shower stall handle was upside down with either scalding hot or freezing cold and no in-between, again needs maintenance. We picked up trash on the grounds , I must have picked up 30 cigarette butts in our site #836 alone. We did meet so many nice residents here. And the staff were nice and helpful too. Just clean this place up and work on the bath houses! Not a recommended place...
However the adjacent Lake Mead Rec Area Boulder Beach Campground ( literally right next door ) is much nicer (but without hookups or showers) And has beautiful trees and bushes even. We recommend staying here not at the RV Village section if possible.

Pros - Nice location and easy access to amazing bike trails. Cons - not much room between sites - our slides almost touched. Neighbour was connected to our sewer. Wifi didn’t work and there is no cable tv. I would stay here again only because of access to bike trails.

Called the morning of arrival to see if we could come in early as we were only about 1.5 hours away due to poor planning i.e. hard to get last minute reservations near the Grand Canyon South Rim. They let us come in before noon with no charge! We went right into the National Park area that showed up as a toll road on our RV GPS. It was no charge as we have the Access Pass. Campground (CG) check in was quick and easy. Since we were early they said we could wait for the escort who came on duty about 15 minutes later or proceed to our spot. We headed on to Lake View site 24 that was an easy back-in with FHUs. The utilities were spaced a bit far from the site and towards the back so I needed about 22’ of sewer hose and 25’ of electric and water hose. All of the lake view sites are made so you can either back in or pull in with utilities available on both sides. We had a beautiful site with great view of Lake Mead and mountain views. The very nice & helpful escort lady, Cindy, came by to ensure we were situated and gave us the unique rules like vehicles must be parked at the same angle as your RV (not crossway across the site) so the mobile home residents across the street can see the lake. The fire pit was at the utility side back corner of the site. They give you one WiFi log-in for free but you can call a number to buy a week's worth of data and ask to have it available for three devices for $14 a week. We hooked our Weingard Connect 2.0 into the WiFi and that ran our devices just fine. WiFi was fairly good for this size CG. They have cable with a lot of stations but some are admittedly a little fuzzy down on the Lake View row, but watchable. We checked OTA channels and only got four and they were also fuzzy. Great place to overnight or spend a few days like we did exploring Hoover Dam and Boulder City. If you like a great cheeseburger, check out the Pit Stop’s Pit Burger in Boulder City just up the road. They also have other goodies on their menu plus outstanding service! Even with a few hiccups, the service and views make this a highly rated CG for us.

Some awesome hikes all around the location and it's super close to the dam. We recommend doing the Train Tunnel hike which is about a 4 mile one way hike utilizing the old train system that was used to build the dam. Bring WATER!
The only reason I didn't give this a five star had to do with a package I had sent to the facility, which contained my CPAP. Kinda need that. First, they said I couldn't have anything mailed to the facility... then they said okay. Then when the package arrived, the sent it back. When we inquired about this, they said we couldn't have packages sent to us. OMG.. so frustrating.
Over all, it's a good camp site. Pads are far enough apart... good water pressure.
