Kansas Point Campground

We pulled in at 7:00 pm and set up camp. We heard a generator running by a pull behind trailer but figured it would go off at quiet hour. The site was directly across the drive from us.. At 10:40 pm the generator was still running so we spoke to the camp host. The host talked to the party and were told by them that they would not turn it off. The host informed us about his visit and told us there was nothing they could do. If he called the park rangers they would not show. Needless to say the generator ran all night and was still on when we left a 9:00 am. The generator was very loud and not a eco model. The campers in tents were very upset. I emailed the contact for the park twice but never received a response. Bathrooms were old and poorly cleaned. The urinal had been completely removed a long time ago and never replaced.. If you want peace and quiet don't put this site on you list! Don't go to a park that won't enforce their rules.

We were traveling and stopped here for a couple of nights. Arrived mid afternoon on a Friday in June. Only 3 sites left. Ours, #49, was more private than most but no
Lake view. This is definitely a place for a younger crowd. Lots of partying going on. Electricity and water available at restroom area. Can’t find a dump. Lots of insects. Nice picnic tables but noticed several sites did not have one. Site pads are gravel/weeds and are raised above ground level.

Great spot if you fish - we don't, but I enjoy watching others. A little pricier than we usually pay, but much less than your average private park which was the only other option we found in this area. Good shade trees - we snagged a spot right by the water edge with a great view of the folks playing with their water toys. I think there was a private resort type place right next to us renting jet skies, etc.Unfortunately the showers were coin, not free and never got hot.Was all we needed.
