“Gritty sites nestled within lovely rolling hills.”

There is so much potential here, especially being a newer campground. From what we were able to glean through our couple of interactions with ownership, they just aren't overly knowledgeable about RVers desires/needs. Their focus seems to be on smaller seasonal type travel trailers with a desire to fish.

The word 'gritty' keeps rolling through my head as I try and describe this campground.

If you're a big rigger and have any concern about your ability to navigate your big rig into awkward spaces, this place may not be for you.

Sites are interestingly laid out - sort of 'willy-nilly'. Many are pull-through and at weird angles and grades. Some sites have 30A/50A, H20, and sewer, while others are 30A & water - or just 30A. Our site (no number) did have nice views, but was extremely unlevel and was a bit trying to get into. Although it was gravel, it was also very muddy.

While reserving a space a few days out, we had difficulty confirming cellular coverage for data needs. The friendly woman on the phone seemed very confused by this line of questioning and never did quite answer it. We arrived to 0 bars of Verizon and inconsistent AT&T data. We ended up using the park's Wi-Fi, which worked inconsistently and would be a concern if other folks were actively using the Wi-Fi system (it was pretty empty of actual people - just empty trailers when we were here).

Upon arrival, we were offered a 30A site without water/sewer, although we had already paid $50/night for a week for a 50A/H20/Sewer site. From what we could glean, there is 'one price' regardless of hook-ups at your site. There is no weekly rate discount. We convinced the friendly owners to allow us to haul our big rig into a weirdly sloped pull-through site on a hill that offered the hook-ups we assumed we had paid for (and desired due to impending cold weather). As noted above, this site was muddy weirdly designed, and not level - but we did eventually get it to 'work'.

It was very quiet while we were here. There appear to be many seasonal trailers, and being that we arrived in late October, not many folks were occupying them, even on the weekend. The pool was closed, but looked nice. There are resident ducks who wander in pairs and are very charming - I thoroughly enjoyed watching them throughout our days here.

The focus of this campground seems to be fishing, and there are several ponds for doing so.

We are interested in how this place will shape up as the owners figure things out, and hopefully figure out ways to reduce the mud and few signs of 'construction' squalor. We wouldn't recommend anyone bring a big-rig up here without being willing to get it a bit dirty.

Running from this campground is all on roads - but they were lightly trafficked and dog-free during our stay.
