Lake Francis and the surrounding area are beautiful. Power boats are not permitted in the lake; however, it does say that trolling motors are allowed. I was a little disappointed to find that the resort only rents canoes/kayaks on Saturdays and Sundays (I stayed Monday-Thursday). Just my opinion - a paddle boat is a must here to really enjoy the lake.

The pool was open, and there was a soccer field, baseball field, volleyball court, and basketball court (one of the two hoops was missing). There were some things to buy in the office store. I was a little disappointed again to find that the ice cream/malt shop was only open Friday-Sunday.

The RV sites and cabins are kinda on a hill near the lake. Overall, there are a lot of slopes and hills throughout the grounds. I stayed in site B25, which is on the lake side of the hill. It was far from level, and even with Anderson blocks, I was not able to completely level my trailer (got close enough). Power, water, and sewer worked as expected. The roads and waking/biking paths throughout the property were nice.

So the pool doesn’t open until 10am, which is probably posted somewhere online, but it makes it hard with a toddler and preschooler who get up very early. It was just another disappointing part of the experience.
