We had a great stay here in January. The campground is small with about 14 sites, no drinking water or electricity available. The road is more than passable, but there are some washboard sections and three big deep humps that might pose an issue for big rigs. We had a great stay here in January. The campground is small with about 14 sites, no drinking water or electricity available. The road is more than passable, but there are some washboard sections and three big deep humps that might pose an issue for big rigs. There is a nice pier, a boat launch, and some hiking trails a few minutes drive around the lake. Expect people with generators during the day, they generally were turned off at night. There is a pump for water but the website said that it needed to be filtered, so we went to nearby Fore Lake and filled up there. One weekend the campground was full, but it was nice and quiet during the week!

Located in the middle of the Ocala National Forest on a small sinkhole formed lake. It has a boat ramp and fishing / viewing dock. Bring all of your creature comforts with you as there are no services except compost toilet and a hand pump for water. Hard packed sand road leading to the campsite which was no problem for my camper van.... more

Hard packed sand road leading to the campsite which was no problem for my camper van. Beware if it has rained a lot.
