Found a last minute space at this campground for Labor Day weekend and was so happy that I did. We stayed in the East camping area that closes right at Labor Day, but the North camping area is open into October. No hookups or water, but decent bathhouses. The bathhouse near our site only had one shower, but I had no problem getting to use it when I was ready. A bit dated but overall clean and pleasant. Our campsite had a little path down to the lake with a tiny beach area that was perfect for taking our kayak down to the water. The water was gorgeous and relatively warm for this time of year. Son and hubby enjoyed paddling along the lake. There were not many people at all out on Thursday and Friday, with a few more on Saturday, but definitely still not at all crowded and since no gas powered boats allowed, it was very peaceful. There are trails to walk along with a nice marked trail to the beach area for swimming. We brought our pup along and she enjoyed the area as well ( make sure to bring your rabies certificate to show at check in). We had plenty of room for our Tab 400 and our attached Walker tent. Nice people at the gate for check in/asking questions. Will definitely come back and I highly recommend.
purdy camper would stay here again
