We loved our stay here. I will give you two different reviews based on the time of week as I think both are helpful to know.

First off this campground has been closed for awhile due to COVID. Locals informed us they just reopened it a few months ago. We stayed the last 2 week of January.

It's an easy campground to get to. A few miles on a gravel road with some potholes along the way but nothing crazy.

The sites here are spacious. Sites 1-13 are numbered and have corrals for parking your OHV behind your campsite. The rest are open and nothing is numbered so you basically pick a spot and set up.

A word of caution for those in taller rigs (Class-A's and fifth wheels) when coming into the numbered sites.
toward the front. There are some large branches hanging lower. We have a Class-C and I got out to spot, we had plenty of clearance but be cautious when coming in.

There are bear proof trash bins and vault toilets throughout this campground. No water so come filled up.
There is a small grocery and other supplies in nearby Salt Springs (about 10 minutes away). About 30 minutes away is a Winn-Dixie and other supplies as well. This location is about 45 minutes from Silver Springs State Park (I highly recommend visiting).

As for my two different reviews. Through the week this place is lightly attended. I think there were only 2-3 other campers here M-Th. It was super quiet, so peaceful and beautiful. Loved having the place to ourselves. Occasionally someone on a quad would ride through.

However, be advised when the weekend hits this place gets busy. Both weekends we were here, Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon larger groups came in with their ATV's, dirt bikes, etc. They had generators and were there to party. Twice we had groups nearby that partied with music and loud talking until 3 or 4 am. All throughout the day you will hear ATV's and dirt bikes. It was annoying but during our stay the weather was colder with some rain, so we spent a lot of time in our rig and were able to tune them out.

Don't let that discourage you from staying at this location. It is really a nice campground, especially during the week. Just expect Friday and Saturday nights the place turns into group party central. I will say everyone was good about cleaning up their sites before departing on Sunday (I was surprised).

Bonus, we had internet here no problem, no booster needed. And we were able to collect some solar - some spots are shady so it depends where you park.
