Wow, there's always someone that's just miserable as it gets with a horrible review on here about this campground. Is this place perfect? No, however being on the road for 4yrs now we've seen it all from luxury to not so luxury. Lake Conroe was a pleasant stay for us and our two teen daughters. The park is huge with every amenity one would want or could think of including that it sits on Lake Conroe...
Everything is almost brand new if not new! The activity center is Dope with a full workout room, billiards, darts, games etc. with vending machines. The basketball court, tennis court, pickleball court and mini golf course all 100% and we enjoyed them all. The pool was amazing and clean as could be with an operating hot tub with jets and was beautifully landscaped and maintained by a professional landscape company. Some of the roads need work and some sites are a bit tight but if you drive around a bit you can choose any site you'd like according to your rigs specs.
We have a 38' bunkhouse TT and stayed in D section by the mini houses and we loved it. Private with zero issues. If you have a quarter of a brain or an ounce of common sense you can do your own research on campgrounds before you visit to make sure it matches your standards and also checking the folks that leave bad reviews review history to see if they only leave bad reviews cause their lives just suck so bad...
A one star review on this campground is an insult to all that work hard here to make a great experience for the unentitled...
They also have awesome food trucks that come there everyday Wednesday through Sunday ranging from burgers to the best Frozen custard and ice we've ever had. Cheers!

No basic safety and health rules enforcement.
1 cats & 3 large dogs on one site, 1 dog loose one day, then 2 loose another day.
No safety to do rig tasks required outside.
Fresh large -dog crap on grass, could not open windows on beautiful weather days.
Another site had 1 dog, but a box of dog crap baking in sun for 4 full days.
Leash required for all pets not enforced, temp unsecure fencing 3-4" tall, unattended and or untethered animals not intervened.
15-40 ft 'leashes'. Dogs taken by owners to crap on everyone else's campsites and all public use grassy areas.
No staff interventions on any of the violations clearly visible from roads and while doing maintenance and supposed security rounds.
3 vehicles on a site, 2 motorcycles were left running for more than 10". Despite rules highlighted as most often violated, in camp pamphlet, clearly stated and gray areas so no interpretation or staff decision as to meanings are needed.
Circular saws noise early in mornings. Not camp staff.
Lawn care noises constantly from either the commercial lawn service or the residents, no restrictions as to certain days or time periods....
Hot lights around drought affected tree far outside site perimeters to intimidate public space usage by others.
Light beams on back of park home 200+ feet away never turned off and comes thru doors & windows all night.
Light beams, flashing lights, rig front designer (not utility) lighting from every direction into all windows. Less intrusiveness at a night time doubleheader at Candlestick Park.
Sheds and screen tents outside of designated site perimeters, despite pre-approval required.
Multiple Children soliciting door to door for money.
Adults setting up sales on sites.
Same dogs barking repeatedly.
Spa had yellow police-type tape and closed sign. No notice of closure until you arrived at pool.
Old sites are unkempt and scattered dangerous debris, broken ceramic tiles shards, designer screws (yes, $300 tire flat) hardball sized rocks skewed about on parking and patio area spaces. Some spacious, many with rigs butt to butt and only small outdoor space. Old utilities, every 3rd-4th site had a bag over the electric post.
New sites are paved parking spaces, cramped and on top of each other.
Smoke from lower ground sites envelopes upper ground sites; must close windows, turn off a/c or central fan, and stay indoors; lasted 3 days.
Smoking neighbors sitting on their site which is just 3" from your windows.
Trash left in fire pit. Half dozen 1/2-smoked cigar butts.
Tourist-members are low man on the totem pole. High residential occupancy. Pay enough (extra) for long enough (extra) stay and clearly evident that the rules apply to thee but not to me.
No handout with any activity calendar; assume has no organized activities.
Pool not heated, is good sized and deck had decent sized sunscreen -covered seating area with tables.
Nighttime fairly quiet and peaceful. Helicopters and planes at times, a couple were very low and loud.
Some sites have beautiful lake views or glimpses.
Great huge cement dock and lake access for boat launch.
Small sandy beach but well done and appeared clean, with bathrooms nearby.
Breezy, very windy at times. Enjoyable to be outdoors in heat and sun ...if there was no dog crap baking in the sun.

Unless you park your RV at the new section (all with nice, large, concrete patios) near the entrance (you'll have to get there before noon to increase chances of getting a spot), you'll likely end up with a pothole-filled dirt and grass spot that will turn into a river when it rains. Almost all of the streets are very rough, so you'll need to go very slow. Fortunately, they're working on two new sections with concrete pads. Hopefully the roads for those will be paved.
All that aside, the 50A, water, and sewer connections worked fine. Employees were nice. Free Wi-Fi was available which worked okay the first night but seemingly broke for our remaining two nights. T-Mobile 5G worked fine (80Mbps+ download). Keep your paper with the check-out date so that you can drop it in the out box at the gate on your way out.
Would recommend this place if they ever improve their street and site quality.

Lots of weeknd, extended weekend campers.Very active campground that is close to a lot of restaurants, shopping, breweries, ect. If you have time, hit up 242 Pub for caual dinning, B-52 brewery for laid-back drinking and Pacific Yard House for live music during the weekends.

Better Than Most TT... As referenced in other reviews, Loop B is newer and the best section of the campground. Although, many of the concrete pads are sloped. The lowest tier appeared to have the most level sites. Overall the park is nicer than most TT. Very easy access off IH45 and convenient to Conroe, The Woodlands and Spring.

This park was great for the kids! Ours enjoyed playing at the playground, basketball courts, and inside the activity center. It was cold so we didn't get to use the pool, but it looked very nice. There is also a beach on the lake that looked super nice (again too cold for that). There were lots of activities and even a chili cook off while we were there. Would be a great park to visit in the spring/early summer when it's not too hot or cold in Texas.
There are some brand new sites towards the front, but we ended up in G. The older sites could definitely use some love. Our site was uneven, but we've hard worse. Water and elective worked great and the bathrooms near us were clean and updated. There are two laundry rooms that use an app and cost $2 a load.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

It’s obvious this TT location would rather be a housing development than an RV and camping location. The front B section is very nice although even being newer and concrete pads, still a challenge for long wheel-base rigs to get level with all wheels on the ground in many lots.
The rest of the camping spots are very hit and miss. Additionally, they don’t allow dog bone amp converters so if you have a 50 amp rig, you can’t stay in many of the lots. This coupled with the fact they allow 30 amp campers to take up the 50 amp lots, it’s very easy to not be able to find a usable space if you’re in a Class A or a long C without your wheels dangling in the air.
Sadly, this is becoming the norm at TT across the network.
This could be a TT showcase site if they’d improve the RV areas instead of paving streets and putting infrastructure in place for houses.

Campsite well spaced apart, the grass is green it has a swimming pool and it’s near the lake. People were very friendly as we drove past, most waved! It’s hot but since you have 50 amp plug-ins, it’s wonderful.
