Arrived Friday evening. Easy check in. Tight and winding road in the camp area, but doable. Posting a screenshot of data rates at 11pm

We stayed dec 2-4 2022 in site 46 one of the best sites if you ask me as it had quite a bit extra room on all sides. Has a dock right out back of the camper to the lake. Unfortunately lake was drawn down while we were there but it was a nice quiet stay. There was a few camp hosts and 1 other camper so we had park to ourselves mainly. All the sites along the lake side seem to be pretty perfect sites. The interior ones are nice just pretty close to each other. No sewage hook ups but they do have a dump station. It's only one loop for campers so it's not a big park. The sunsets were beautiful! There's a number of trails from 0.4 miles up to 8 miles equestrian trail. Most all lake side sites have nice wooden decks. A picnic table on concrete slab and a fire ring. There's a beach area for summer, cabin rentals, tenter sites , group camp site and a lodge. There's not alot close but Shreveport/Bossier was only about 35 min drive.

Lake Bistineau is a great state park park near Shreveport, LA. We stayed 2 nights. The sites are very shady. The park streets and sites are asphalt. Some roads need repaving. The park was clean and quiet, and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the lake was drawn down to eradicate an invasive water plant. But, this presented a unique opportunity. We could walk on the dry lake bottom and see the parts of cypress trees that are normally under water.
Stayed in back-in campsite #14 which was level side to side, but the front was higher. The site has a nice view of the lake and a large wooden deck. There was just enough parking for my 34 ft TT and truck. Neighbors are nearby, but not too close. The site included: picnic table on concrete, BBQ pit, trash pole, and fire ring. Utilities: 20/30/50A electric in back. Water in back, good pressure. No sewer, but a dump station is available. AT&T had 2 bars of LTE and Verizon 2 bars of LTE service. AT&T Speedtest: 5.1 Mbps down, 0.7 Mbps up. Verizon Speedtest: 7.4 Mbps down, 0.1 Mbps up. No WiFi. Would stay here again.
We camped at Lake Bistineau State Park in a Travel Trailer.

The park is off the beaten path but not difficult to get to from the interstate and easy to get back on. Site was mostly level. Wood deck was nice. Restrooms were clean, site was clean, and park was quiet.

The bayou was dried up so was not visually appealing. If you have a National Park Pass be sure to show them and get 50% off your stay. Wouldn’t have known this if not reading reviews on here. Would definitely recommend this park but ask when they lower and raise the water. Bathhouse was a far distance from site #10 so didn’t use and can’t review on that.

Site 16 is easy to back into but plenty of pull throughs to choose from as well. We chose our site because it backed up to the water with a small dock right at the campsite. Most sites had wooden decks instead of patios which was nice and level.
Our site had 50/30/15 amp service and water. Three days was the right length to stay before our tanks were full. There is a dump station at the exit of the campground loop. There is also a day use area with many pavilions and a boat launch. Also plenty of hiking trails and even an equestrian loop.
The park has wifi but we were not able to connect. Cell phone coverage, outside was 2 bars with Verizon, and 1 bar in the trailer...but enough to allow us to cast from our phone to watch movies in the evening.
We will definitely stay here again.

When we had to drive 5 minutes back to the front of the camp, we had to pay $33 for the Premium site meaning it had a wooden deck instead of the $28. Then $6 entrance fee per person. PROS: Staff and ranger were Sooooo nice and helpful. Thank you to them! CONS: The Park seemed abandoned & dump station was very nasty. It was pretty far off the interstate ~22min for a place that costs as much as a KOA. However, it was a nice stay for one night, but rather difficult to navigate.

Called the front desk and staff was very helpful and kind. We parked and drive the car into the campsite to look at the spot to see if the 38' Biggie Smalls will fit. The site looked wonderful, the roads are not so good with pot holes and uneven spots. I hear the mayor is going to get repairs done - good! This is a nice state park with clean facilities and decent space between sites. Our site had a wood deck, picnic table, standing grill, fire pit and a lantern hook. It was March, so the trees did not have any leaves and it was sunny, not shaded. The view from our back window was wonderful! We saw bluebirds, woodpeckers, hawks and much more every morning! I would stay again.

This is a very beautiful park! I really liked having a wood deck at our campsite. We were only here for one night but still had the opportunity to see a deer run through camp while cooking breakfast! We look forward to a longer return visit!
