The bathhouse has very small shower stalls (except for the handicapped stall, that had enough room) and they were pretty dirty. The women's showers are right next to the laundry room and it was tough to keep the water temperature constant if the washing machines were running. During my shower the temperature would go from comfy to blazing hot in no time and it was nearly impossible to adjust it back to a normal temperature. I would have used our own shower, but they put us in an electric/water hook up for some reason and we didn't want to fill our grey tank with shower water.
There seems to be a number of full time residents. I don't mind a campground having full time residents, but some of the rigs were really run down and had a lot of 'stuff' in their 'yards'.
The pool is small but clean and the people that work here are really nice.

FHU's, sites are OK with enough space between sites. Small pool, with nice bath house. Area to walk the dogs, 1/4 mile trail behind the lake or down the gravel road,

Value:
Great for the area. We researched a lot of different RV parks in the Charleston area and this was the best rate we found for full hook-ups and proximity to the city (about 30 min with traffic.)
We arrived after a couple days of heavy rain and even though the sites are gravel, ours was relatively dry and level. The manager was also kind enough to let us look at our site to make sure it was satisfactory before we settled in which we appreciated coming from our last park where our site was very muddy and un-level! The laundry room is small but adequate and the grounds are also well kept up.
Dog-Friendliness:
Ok. Unfortunately there's no off-leash dog park or run but you can walk your pup around the park.
Runner's and Biker's Rave:
Ok. You can run or bike about a mile loop within the park, after that you'll be on a busy road.
WHJ Insider Tip:
There's variety in the site size (the ones right on the lake are pretty tricky to park any size rig in so make sure you let the park know how big your rig is.
Overall, we'd recommend staying at Lake Aire if you're looking for a reasonable price, a few amenities, and good proximity to Charleston.

Our site and many that we saw were not level. Previous occupants of our site left trash in our fire pit. It was somewhat noisy at night. Barking dogs, train whistles, and a few people (though not in our immediate vicinity) were up late. Fire ants all over the place--they bit one of our dogs a bunch of times and she had a reaction. Beware if you're from the north and aren't used to those things. Nasty buggers.
Best part about this place was its proximity to Charleston. Easy trip by car. Close to shopping, gas, supplies.

Our site was fairly level, with a grass camping area and a decent amount of space between sites. The park was very dog friendly. There was a small swimming pool that saw lots of use by families. It's about 20 minutes from downtown Charleston. We paid the Passport America rate which was quite reasonable. We visited in May 2014.
