Can't say enough about the campground manager, Beth, and her hosts. They went above and beyond to help us when our RV could not fit into our reserved site (even though the pad length was long enough, the configuration of the road and posts/pilons that line the road and sites made it impossible to maneuver). Thankfully, we were in the off season and there were some sites available elsewhere in the campground. Throughout our 2 week stay, Beth drove by and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. She cares very much about her campground and is kind to campers.
The campground itself is well maintained and clean. Most of the photos shown here are very old. The entire campground has been re-paved and there are no dirt driveways/parking pads at any site. There is one bath house with flush toilets Ave coin operated showers.
If you're in a large RV (30 foot+), make sure you reserve in the RV loop. When you do, be aware that most sites are very sloped and bring lots of wood or blocks to help with leveling. Site 86 is the most level site in the RV loop. All of the pull-thru sites are on a pretty steep slope. Site 82 would be fairly easy to level as well.

Wonderful quiet getaway in the mountains outside San Diego. During our visit in March, snow was on the ground in shaded areas. Campground was half empty and quiet. Lots of hiking and biking trails nearby. Roadside loop best for RVs. October is another good time to visit due to cooler weather and fall colors.

We had a great time at this campground! When you pull in, be sure to stop and look at the map, finding your loop can be a little confusing. We had site #45 in the Shady loop, our campsite was huge! We had a lot of privacy with tree's separating us from other campers, which meant a lot of shade as well and a sweet spot to hang our hammock. We had some college kids next to us that were pretty loud a night, but the campground hosts were pretty quick to shut them up. There are a lot of open meadows and places to hike near by, we even got to get up close to a heard of cows grazing in a field and there is an equestrian camp near by. No matter where you go there is always a bathroom near by and they were pretty clean. This campground if a few miles down from the general store, and the camp hosts drive around in their golfcart selling firewood if you need it.
Only negative thing was a campsite across the road with a bunch of screaming kids that were up at 6am, the parents were allowing them to come to our campsite to fill up their water guns over and over and have water fights outside our trailer, which got a little annoying... but that can happen anywhere.
I definitely recommend this campground, its the best one I've stayed at on Mt Laguna so far!
