“Pretty campground nestled along the Big East River and close to Arrowhead Provincial Park”

Overall Rating

Pretty, private campground 2 minutes from the entrance to Arrowhead PP with sites nestled along the Big East River. Campground offers a range of options including full-hook-up seasonal sites, partial hook ups for transient campers and tenting sites that back on the river. Everything you need is here: water, electric, sani-dump, bathrooms, garbage and recycling. Location is also right at the north end of the lovely summer tourist town of Huntsville where you will find everything you need!

The lagoons are the stagnant portions of the river that have been cut off and are now lovely wildlife oases right in the campground with turtles and bird life.

There is a lovely sandy beach at an elbow in the river perfect for swimming, with both still water and a decent current to swim against for a great workout! You can also paddle up the river from this beach to the bottom of Stubbs falls a short manageable paddle even against the current.

Staff are very friendly and helpful! I loved my stay here and cannot recommend enough! Excellent cell signal throughout the campground.

We loved staying here. Beautiful campground on the river. Owners are great people. Facilities are amazing, nicest bathrooms I have seen at a campground. Nice sandy beach area to spend the day. We paddles and kayak up and down the river numerous times. Our site was massive and really nice site. Really nice trail through the forest for walking our dog daily.
