I was in FBG over spring break and the weekends were crazy busy. LBJ seemed to provide a quiet respite from the hubbub, and had a lovely nature walk about 1 mile long. I did not stay at this park but drove thru to see if I missed anything. In Pecan Loop, many sites are shaded. It was the tail-to-tail site situation (sites 25-56) that made me choose a different park. There is just a painted white line separating these sites, so if you have a rear window, you may want to choose other ones. Sites 1-9 are nose-to-tail with little space between. Sites 11-24 are nice but really only accommodate rigs 22 ft or smaller. Horseshoe Loop sites are okay but IMO 57-60 are better. These latter sites do look out on the swimming pool, but it was closed in March, so quiet. Finally, Upper Loop sites 73-89 are extremely deep, near the entrance and against the airport fence, but with no or very little shade. Also they are about 5 ft between.
Airport was very unbusy when I visited and seemed to be for very small planes so not a big deal. Bathrooms were modernish with toilets in bathrooms, and showers-only separated into individual rooms. Park is just 10 minutes from downtown FBG so very convenient. I had good verizon reception. Given the prices of RV sites in FBG, this park, expecially at the weekly rate of $312, provides decent value and convenience.

This is a good park, close to Fredericksburg. Reasonably spaced camp sites but not a lot of privacy. Everything was in good condition. The bath/shower setup is very good.
Right next to small airport, so some plane noise during the day.
A little pricey at $55 per night (fees included).

This was our first time staying at this City-owned and operated RV park, and we will definitely be coming back. We stayed a week at Site 43 in the Pecan Orchard portion of the park. Upon making reservations, I was initially skeptical of the back-to-back, back-in sites; however, never even knew when I had a neighbor behind me or not.
Park was extremely quiet for its size with the exception of City work crews nearby during the day, the Gillespie County Airport next door and evening popping from nearby pickle ball courts.
Within the first hour of arrival on a Saturday, we had issues with the 30amp breaker on outside pedestal popping a few times when we only had the A/C on and hot water heater switched to electric, which should not have exceeded 30 amps. Reported the issue to City Park staff whom responded quickly. After resetting the breaker twice, the issue appeared to have been resolved; however, on Monday morning City Park staff came out and replaced the 30amp breaker to eliminate any potential problems during our visit. Awesome customer service.
The RV park is conveniently located for local visits into Fredericksburg and/or 22 miles down Texas 16 to Kerrville. It’s adjacent to Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park, which offers golf, nature trails, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, playground, large dog park, and swimming pool (closed for season). Restrooms and shower facilities are plentiful and clean. The oldest restroom facility was the worst due to age, and we’d rate it 6.5 out of 10. Newer facilities we’d rate 8.5 out of 10.
We highly recommend this RV park for a Texas Hill Country getaway.

Took other’s advice and got the pull thru. So much room plus hook ups on both sides. Cable was decent and WiFi was good. Huge community pool by us so some noise but not bad at all.

Stayed in the "pecan grove" section. Good space between neighbors. Site was relatively level. During our stay there was an air show at the airport which was neat to watch. Nice nature trail, playground for kids, river to fish at, golf course. Thumbs up!

I imagine it gets busy during the summer, however, January here has been quiet and peaceful. Wonderful experience overall, and we will be back for a longer stay! Noise rating is due to the campground being next to the airport, which for us was a plus as we watched planes takeoff and land!

Access to the sites was easy and our pad was level, crushed rock with a picnic table. Garbage cans were convenient to sites but garbage truck did come through about 8:30am. Local airport next door did have some air traffic but was quiet after 10:00pm. We enjoyed watching the planes and helicopters. There is a huge dog park. A large pond and a kids play ground. A short drive into all the activities Fredericksburg offers. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again but would again specify a pull-thru site.

The park was clean, but our site was very small. The back of our fifth wheel was right in front of the neighbor's door. The hookups were on the right side of the RV, so we had to always walk around the back side. We could not put any chairs on that side due to all of our hookups, and we would just be looking at the back of their trailer anyway. Our picnic table was on the back side by the road. Which was OK, there was at least some grass on that side. There is a LOT of traffic going by all day long, and not much regard to the speed while we were there. The only area that is not cramped is the Camper's Loop. If we were to go back, that is the only area we would consider. There is no mention on the website of the airport. The park is right next to the runway. This really didn't bother us that much, except for the small jets taking off at 6:30AM. It was actually kind of fun to see the planes take off and land. A big plus is if you have dogs, there is a HUGE dog park. It was right across from our site. Each side had to be at least four acres. Lots of room for your dog(s) to run and play. Location wise it was easy access to town and surrounding areas. The nature trail was really nice, and volunteers were there getting it ready for spring. We are pretty adaptable, but our spot was not ideal. If you don't mind being in close proximity to your neighbors, you will be fine. Most of the spots in the main area are a 90 degree back in. We spent two nights at the Fredericksburg KOA after this, and had a much nicer site. It was more expensive, but we would stay there instead if we were to return. We had phone and internet service with AT & T. My UnlimitedToGo hotspot worked great, I was able to do my online teaching with no problems at all. Also no problems using my hotspot with our Amazon firestick.

Our site was across a dog park from a small airport. Planes quit flying at about 8 pm. It’s a wide open area with trails and adjacent to a golf course and creek. A trash bin is placed at the end of each campsite. High priced but close to Fredericksburg.

Great park! Nice, level spots with artificial grass. A little close to the road, but wasn't bad.
