“Great stay at La Posa South Clothing Optional area”

Reviewed Apr 08, 2019

Overall Rating

The magic circle area of La Posa South LTVA is the clothing optional section of this BLM property. My wife and I stayed there for about a week in Mar of 2019. We found ourselves a really nice spot near a dry river bed, close to a group of other campers. As is the norm, we found the other nudists campers to be quite friendly and we w... more

“Our First Experience at Quartzsite...We Will Definitely Be Back!”

Reviewed Feb 19, 2019

Overall Rating

We started full-time RVing in May 2018 and coming to Quartzsite was a huge goal of ours. It is like an RVers right of passage :) We arrived at La Posa South LTVA in the midst of the government shut down so there was no one present to collect our fees. Normally it would have been $40 for 14 days or $180 for a season pass. We arrived and... more

“Boondocking at its best!”

Reviewed Jan 16, 2019

Overall Rating

It usually costs $40 for 14 days to boondock at La Posa South however, due to the government shutdown, they were unable to take any payments. La Posa South is the only area in Quartzsite with water and a dump station so it's usually a bit busier than the other areas. It's amazing! You just drive around the desert until you find a pl... more

“Great boondocking”

Reviewed Mar 02, 2018

Overall Rating

$140 for the season or $40 for 14 days.
Close access to Quartzsite 5 +/- miles. Water and trailer dump. Lots of room, pick a spot with others or a quieter site on the east periphery. One paid pass allows acces to all BLM sites in area.

“Paid boondocking with a convenient water and dump station”

Reviewed Mar 22, 2016

Overall Rating

In January 2015 we stayed at La Posa South with a group of a dozen other RVs during the Quartzsite RV show. It was our first time boondocking so having a water station, dump station, and trash dumpsters was a nice "safety net" for us. Pros: lots of flat open space to choose from, and even during the big RV show we had plenty of room ar... more

“Good boondocking in the desert”

Reviewed May 13, 2015

Overall Rating

The rate reflects the 14 day rate. This is a very popular area around Quartzsite because of the dump stations and available water but there is plenty of space to go around. The farther you go away from the highway the less crowded it becomes. It can get dusty if you camp close to the main dirt road. We have amped here a couple times wi... more
