This is a really well kept campground with friendly staff. The decorations all over the park are a really nice touch and my dog loved the large dog park. I would’ve stayed here longer but the interstate noise was too much for me to handle. I-70 runs right along the perimeter and it is busy all day and all night. I was in campsite 84 and had plenty of space for my rig, but the sites are pretty close together. All of the sites are pull through and most of them are gravel pads. There are a few concrete pads and those sites also have fire pits. There are three dog parks but the one closest to the entrance looks like it’s meant just for a potty break while you’re checking in, there’s a medium sized one near the basketball court, and then the largest one is back by the pool and has plenty of space for a big dog to run. All of the parks have clean up stations which was a nice touch.
Overall I would stay here again but only for a few days if I had things to do in Salina, then I’d head out to one of the campgrounds in the surrounding area that’s not right off the interstate.

We stopped here for a few days while traveling across Kansas. The campground has a view of I-70, so there’s definitely some road noise that is audible even inside the camper, but not loud enough to bother us. The road turns to dirt and gravel just before you reach the campground entrance, and all of the interior roads are hard dirt embedded with gravel. All of the RV sites are pull-throughs, with some sites having concrete pads and others with pads just like the roads. Most of the sites have full-hookups, but all of them have cable TV hookups. The sites in the middle two rows have concrete patios with multiple chairs, patio umbrellas, and large concrete fire pits. Some non-patio sites had free-standing circular iron fire pits on legs. Our site (site 72) was one of the regular sites with just a picnic table. The site was level and got a fair amount of shade from a neighboring tree as well as a line of trees behind us (most of the sites in our section had decent shade). The power and water connections were in a standard location, with the water spigot wrapped with insulation and outfitted with a heater, and we had our choice of three sewer hookups. The site was more than long enough for our 21-foot truck and 37-foot fifth-wheel, and there was a decent amount of space between us and our neighbors.
The campground has all of the typical KOA amenities. The bathrooms and showers are available on the west side of the office building, and the playground is on the east side. The laundry and recreation room are in a separate building. There is a small basketball court with adjustable hoops and an outdoor ping-pong table across the road from the office, and the dumpster and propane refill station are next to the exit. The swimming pool and volleyball area are located at the back of the campground. The check-in desk in the office shares space with a small store but also their pizza kitchen: you can order 12-inch pizzas that can be delivered to your site.
There are three enclosed dog parks. The largest park is at the back near the pool. A smaller dog run is located near the northwest corner of the park, just 50 feet away from site 72. The smallest “park” is a 5-by-5 square next to where you pull in to register, for dogs who desperately need to go after being on the road for hours.
In terms of cell service, the best speed I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna was 19Mbps down and 8 up. We were able to stream video during our stay, but with some buffering and pixelation, and it would lag more often in the evening. The best speed I got on my AT&T smartphone was 33Mbps down and 7 up. I briefly connected to the campground WiFi to check it out: during my one attempt, I only saw 3.5 down and 4 up.
They love their decorations here. There is a water fountain in the middle of the park, and metal sculptures, silhouette cutouts, and other decorations can be found all over. There were three bison statues visible through our back window.
We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Place was a cluttered mess with a dog lying right in the middle of the floor. I had intended to order a pizza from them, but . . . Yuck. Our site, like the rest of the park, was very nice. Large trees, pruned to not impact the RV’s, provided shade & a beautiful setting. Nice, friendly escort to the site. Internet was not streamable, but more than adequate for emails, etc. Really need to deep tidy up the office though.

Escorted to our site which had full hookups including 2 sewer hookups. Site was rock, fairly level & large enough for our toad. Decent space between sites.
Do NOT attempt to park a 2nd vehicle on your site! There are signs at the office stating they will tow said vehicle & even list the tow company to call to get it back!
The biggest drawback to this park is it is adjacent to I-70 so there is consistent road noise if you are trying to enjoy the outdoors.

If a campsite has specific “published” rules that are available prior to confirming a reservation, I would completely understand and could make my decision at that time. Telling me at 8PM about undocumented rules is not acceptable.
I decided to stay here for an overnight with my family. We reserved a long pull through since we weren’t going to unhook and had a second car with us. Upon arriving at our site we were told we could not park the second car in our site, despite the fact there was room, without parking on the grass or on anyone else’s site. We have a 28” trailer which allowed more than enough room to safely park our second car in the designated parking site. After speaking with the representative, they stated the owner would not allow a second vehicle at our site. “It’s on our website”.
After checking my email confirmation, the paperwork provided at checkin and their KOA Salina website, I found no such rule or regulation. This appeared to be an arbitrary rule. Looking around the campground, there were multiple sites with multiple vehicles. A Jaguar SUV in front of a 5th wheel (cannot be the tow vehicle), two vehicles and a trailer on another site. To ensure there is not confusion with my statements, I took pictures of the multiple “infractions” and of my site which had at least 15 extra feet where I could have parked my sons Subaru. Instead of having his vehicle safely parked at our site, he was forced to leave it near the entrance which placed puts his biking and camping equipment at risk of theft.
I shared my concerns with the representative to no avail. The reason I have a theft concern is just before we turned into the KOA Salina campground we came across multiple homeless people, and a few, what appeared to be questionable motels. This location does not inspire confidence that his stuff would not be stolen, but given my long drive and late arrival I did not have a viable option. I will NOT be staying at the KOA in Salina again, but if you plan on trying your luck, I would suggest you get everything in writing before confirming your reservation.

Even though it’s right off the highway we heard no traffic noise overnight. We had a concrete pad pull through that was level. Good AT&T service. Overwhelmed by mosquitoes. Lots of trees and shade. Did not use the amenities.
