“Parking lot at fairgrounds. ”

This is OK for a quick overnighter, but I wouldn’t want to stay here any longer than that. It’s just a big parking lot at the fairgrounds and it’s pretty expensive. $30.
The gates are locked at 9 PM at night and they don’t open till 7 AM. I’m an early riser and like to be on the road by 6:00 but anything is possible for one night.
The lady is the office is super nice!

“A great place for a short visit to Crater Lake with FHU's”

We were looking for a decent place to stay two nights so we could make a visit to Crater Lake, have open sky for the satellite, and FHU's. This fit our needs. There was only one other unit there our first night. It would be a little crowded if full. Sites are back in...back to back, in a gravel lot that is very level. There is no shade. Other than trash in between every few sites, there aren't amenities. There are restrooms available, I believe. We had good E/W/S (50 amp). The fairgrounds are easy to access off the main street in town. It is a self-pay station at the camping area. The only ding was the flies. There is an open animal barn right across from the parking area (no smell) and there were flies everywhere. It was impossible to keep them from coming in when you opened the door. So we just had the fly swatter at the ready. It's then an easy hour drive to Crater Lake. The only reason I gave it four stars is because we basically had the place to ourselves.
