Let's start with the good things about this campground: - It's right on the Bay of Fundy! The ocean front campgrounds are probably less than 80 feet from the shore at high tide. And several thousand feet away at low tide. It's very cool! - It's a short walk to beautiful downtown St. Andrews. There's lots of shops, restaurants and bar... more
Let's start with the good things about this campground:
- It's right on the Bay of Fundy! The ocean front campgrounds are probably less than 80 feet from the shore at high tide. And several thousand feet away at low tide. It's very cool!
- It's a short walk to beautiful downtown St. Andrews. There's lots of shops, restaurants and bars, not to mention the scenic St. Andrews wharf area.
- It's just a short drive to many other wonderful attractions like the Algonquin Hotel, Huntsman Marine Science Centre, Kingsbrae Gardens, Minister's Island. All of these are "must do" visits if you're in the area.
- The campground is very clean, has full hookup services and the owners/staff are very nice.
- It opens much earlier in the season than many other campgrounds.
There are some negatives that should be mentioned:
- It's not really very aesthetically pleasing. For the most part, its essentially a parking lot.
- It can be pretty crowded. There's not a lot of space between the sites.
- If you go camping to have some quiet time and to 'get back to nature', this may not be the campground for you.

This is a basic RV parking lot, where they are trying to stack as many rigs in as they can. So expect to be able to hear all of your neighbor's outside conversations, and be prepared to have kids walk/run through your site all the time. This is a basic RV parking lot, where they are trying to stack as many rigs in as they can. So expect to be able to hear all of your neighbor's outside conversations, and be prepared to have kids walk/run through your site all the time. I had 10 feet between me and the ClassC on one side and the people on the other side moved their table to within two feet of my trailer so they would have room for their mat, BBQ, bikes, etc. Needless to say, the crowded conditions mean much noise and little privacy.
Also, the online reservation system (you fill out a request form, they mail back a cryptic reservation) does not let you know if you got the kind of site you requested or not. So when I showed up, I didn't get the oceanview/oceanfront I had requested, I was in a lineup one spot away from the dumpster, propane, and playground.
Finally, the wifi was overloaded when the park was full, so connections kept dropping or timing out. Finally gave up and used my own hotspot to access the internet (ATT Unlimited via Rogers).

A more typical Canadian "destination" park owned and operated by the Kiwanis Intntl. They don't ask for a membership. Ideal location on a peninsula on the Bay of Fundy, near historic downtown and golfing. Pretty packed if busy, lots of fiberglass showing in this full service C/G. Waterfront sites seemed to be filled with the big Class A's on a seasonal basis. Lots of US residency from all over. A summer landing for winter Snowbirds!
Daily fee is in Canadian $'s, they sell propane, sites are grass and gravel and quite level. Close to tourist activities within walking and biking distance for the physically fit. Friendly folks all around.
Tomp would stay here again
