Guys this is just my experience staying here.A few people have decided to live here. Got here on a Sunday and left on Monday. We wanted to stay 4 days but we did not feel safe. Monday morning a woman that looks like she’s been there a while with a big dog started screaming at me after I said good morning to her. Told me not to come in o her space and that I should be carrying my small dog. No where was I even close to her. There is no designated spots here. You pretty much setup where there is space. A guy or also was there looked like he was living in his vehicle. Around 7 at night on Monday another camper came on. Their little dog got away and the owner (wife) went after him. The old lady in the campers big dog started chasing the small dog. The wife’s husband then went to retrieve their small dog. The guy living in his car then came over and started punching the dog owner in the face. The old lady with the big dog started to get in on the action by kicking the husband with the small dog. Police were called. At that point we decided to leave. Way too much drama. Will never come back to this place. Sad that the police did pretty much nothing . I don’t know if the ones that started it got a ticket but the couple with the small dog got a $200 ticket for disorderly conduct. I couldn’t believe it. When we were pulling out the same guy living in his car came out and ran toward our RV. I hit the gas pedal and left him in the dust. I think he wanted to get my license plate for what ever reason since we call the cops. So long Lewiston! You left a bad taste in my mouth.

After a long 8 hrs drive from southern Wyoming on our way to Glacier NP, we needed a day of exercise. This beautiful town provided a wonderful experience. We arrived late on Friday of Labor Day weekend and it was easy to set up. Level spacious spots that easily handle big rigs. Much grassy area for tents. We spent the next day riding our bikes on the town’s Rail Trail and off street paths. 30 miles exploring the parks, stunning local architecture, the historical airport and the Central Montana museum. You can jump on the Rail Trail directly from this very clean Kiwanis rest area/campground.

Verizon signal strong enough that I could get work done on my iPad on deadline. Six campers total here and only one loud wacko.

We had a FABULOUS dinner at the Central Feed Grilling Company!! The service was great and fellow dinners were ever nicer. We ate at the bar. There is a nice clean grocery store right across the street and even found a local car wash to clean the 2 weeks of Dakota/Montana dirt off the car!
