In the early morning, we heard coyotes and when we went for a walk saw deer and maybe cat marks in the dirt by the water! We love the wildlife and the sounds of nature.
The only downfall was that darn light, it would be wonderful if they removed it or switched to ones used by observatories.

I arrived after hours looked for signs and instructions for where to pay! Nothing with explanations. So I went ahead and chose a campsite with intent to pay as soon as I was able to figure things out. The reason for leaving was I had to work that evening and was not returning until next night. My wife showed up next day at 6pm greeted the woman at gate and asked her where we were to pay for campsites and how we we’re supposed to go about this. She charged her for 3 people and instructed her to visit Marina next morning to pay for campsite. The next morning arrived and before I was able to get up and around we got a very loud aggressive knock on our camper door. I went to the door and an older gentleman with an extremely poor attitude greeted me with hateful accusations that we were attempting to Robb him of his services. I tried to explain to him rationally of the situation and that I had not seen any signs for instructions on how to go about things. I then informed him that we are not worried about paying and that we have every intention on paying him with his response being “ I’m worried about it! You’ve been here for 2 nights!” I tried to explain again and he just continued to be hateful. My deal is this, even if you might have people who come after hours sneaking in and “stealing services “ you definitely should not treat everyone like they are attempting to do the same. How about being professional with respect! Listen to your customers and allow them the respect of having integrity to do the right thing as soon as they say their going to do it. This man that runs the Marina at Kincaid Park has a very poor attitude and is extremely disrespectful. I am totally offended and absolutely will not return! I’m also spreading the word throughout the camping community!! VERY MUCH “DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAMPSITE” Not only disrespectful and very unprofessional staff but also very poor conditions and nasty camping environments!

We came in after hours needing an overnight stay on our way to Colorado. There was no pay station or instructions for late arrivals, so we just chose an empty spot and hooked up. There were approximately 15 30-amp and water sites with only two other RVs in the park. There is also a copious amount of dry camping in the park and at the numerous other sites around the reservoir. The next morning, we drove up to the marina and paid for our night there before heading out. The site was $18 plus $5 for each adult. They do not take reservations and is first-come drive up only, which based on our experience, shouldn’t be an issue. We camped on a Wednesday night, so I’m not sure what weekends would be like.
Each site has a nice concrete pad, mostly level. Ours was off level side to side by about an inch. The park was mowed and well-maintained. I didn’t see any shower houses or a dump station, but we are self-contained and only stayed the one night, so dumping was not an issue. There is a small playground, but otherwise no real amenities. The water in the lake was low, but still pretty.
Campendium lists this park as ‘No dogs allowed’, but there were signs all over stating that dogs just needed to be on-leash at all times.
Verizon cell signal averaged about 3 bars, and we were able to stream TV through the hotspot for about 1.5 hours before bed without issue.
Overall, it was very peaceful, easy to get to, and a good experience. We will stay again, as we travel this route frequently.

Had a bit of trouble finding campground. Campendium directions incorrectly directed us to the Shady Ridge campground. Entrance to Kincaid City Park is off highway 70 at the Lakeside Marina entrance. There are 2 signs that say Kincaid City Park.
We were the only RV there but felt safe. Lights automatically came on at dark near the bathrooms.

Not too far off the main road, and completely empty of all other temporary campers when I stayed there. Office and check in were all closed, but easy to find, and good for an overnight. Lots of cheatgrass, which my dog didn't appreciate, but otherwise peaceful and quiet. Loads of geese and other waterfowl at the reservoir.

Stayed here as we traveled from Santa Fe to Dallas. Water and 30 amp elec and dump station. Plus porta potties. So everything you need for an overnight. Just 3 miles outside of Clarendon. Clarendon has a nice grocery store for list minute necessities. About 15 total sites. Only 2 others here when we camped. Sites are very close together, but plenty of space when only 3 sites occupied. The lake is pretty nice, with beautiful sunset over the lake. The rate is actually $18 for camping + $5 for each person to enter the park. Super quiet location. We would stop here again.

We were there for Labor Day and the place was slammed. The few sites they had were level and about a 5 min stroll to the beach. We left on Monday with everyone else and it was about a 30 min wait for the dump station that was on the wrong side of the small road for people exiting.
