I can certainly see why this park is so highly rated. Many of the sites are beach front and all are meticulously maintained. Our site was level enough that we were able to avoid unhitching since we were only staying overnight. Nice lake view through the trees. The trade-off for lake access is that most sites on the lake side are close to one another.
We arrived mid day on August 6th and had lots of choices (perhaps 50% were empty) but by evening, every site was full.
No connectivity on Google Fi or Verizon

Kinaskan Lake is a beautiful provincial park with many water-view sites. It’s impeccably maintained, the host has been taking care of the park since the late 80s. There’s a nature trail to check out. And if you’ve got a kayak or canoe the lake is usually pretty calm.
We were also lucky enough to see the auroras from Kinaskan lake.

We stopped for a day stop. Open in winter. Nobody there. A little steep getting in and out.

I totally agree with the previous review. This park is extremely well cared for. We had a site on the lake, which was beautiful. We heard a loon calling in the evening. The outhouse was so clean that it didn’t even have a odor. The camp host was very helpful when giving advice on the route south since we expect to run into forest fire park.
This is probably the nicest boon-docking park we have ever stayed in in the 7 year of summer travels.

Beautiful, large Kinaskan lake is ideal for boating and fishing and this large, lakefront provincial park campground just south of Dease Lake is popular! We arrived around 4pm and snagged the last water access site! Lake water is cold and clear but I was able to go for a quick, refreshing dip in the morning. Gorgeous mountain views across the lake from the campground.
Boat launch available near the entrance with room for parking boat trailers. A few campers had power boats which they kept at their waterfront campsites.
Sites are deep, back-in, with level, gravel footing. Open, forest setting where you can still see your neighbours but spaced out enough that you don’t feel crowded. Picnic tables and fire pits at each site, though there was a fire ban while we were there.
Garbage and recycling and pit toilets throughout the campground. One water spigot with potable drinking water. No electricity or cell service in the campground. No wifi available.
Campground host came by to collect the $20 fee in the evening.
