Kimberley Riverside Campground

The campground was full until we asked for dry camping which I think they hold for tent campers. This area is closest to river, quiet and darker given hillside you back up to. These sites are 30’ or less and not all level, so maybe look first.

Lots of mountain bike trails accessible fr park, pool, laundry w 4 washers/dryers. Campground attracts many families w kids. Our noise rating based on this dry camping area.

We stayed here on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021. This spot is about 3 kms off the main road and is located beside a river. There are deer wandering around everywhere and the peace and quiet is amazing. There is absolutely NO road noise. At night it's perfectly quiet - a real dream. The campground is made in 3 different levels. We stayed in site 102 which is down the big hill at the bottom of the campground. We took a walk up the big hill to check out the other areas, which are great too, but we were so glad we were in the lower part. It's closest to the river and each site has lots of room so you don't feel like your neighbour can hear all your conversations. We used their laundry facilities which are quite nice ($3 washer, $1 dryer for 20 mins). We also used their showers/washrooms by the pool which were fine. They need to pay a little attention to detail with cleaning. You can tell the facilities aren't cleaned as regularly as they should be.
We loved it here - met some really friendly people. The folks in the office are super friendly too. I wish I could give the Noise rating a 6!
For those wanting wifi - they seem to have boosters/repeaters throughout the property. It worked great!!! Very sketchy cell coverage though - but got it to work if we stood on the road.

Our site was a little tight for our unit but it was quiet and had plenty to do for the kids and adults. Trails, a small playground (subpar), mini golf, bocce, volleyball, full service and showers/bathrooms, Coin-OP Laundry. The cell coverage is so-so, but worked flawlessly with our booster. It also has unsecured wi-fi if needed. We paid less than the $40/night as it was end of season but would happily pay full rate.
