If you want peace and quiet, this is it!! July 4th week and all campgrounds around Grand Marais were full. Note Grand Marais city campground had 300 sites extremely close together!!
Kimball Lake CG is very rustic. 15 minutes outside of Grand Marais on the Gunflint Trail (Highway 12). 10 exlarge gravel site. All with picnic tables and fire rings. No electric. Water by vault toliets. CG is between Kimball and Mink Lake. Easy walk to Trout Lake. Very limit cell service.
Lori would stay here again
