I didnt use the campground facilities but they were clean and after a few test flushes I can say they seemed to work fine. They are an easy walk from this site.
The site itself was o.k. It had a cement pad and it was easy to level. I had a short uphill climb to use the fire ring and picnic table. There is a potable water connection in front of this site. Lots of trees but I needed to turn my chair away from the road if I didn't want to be looking at the people across the road.
The campground itself is pleasant and well kept with lots of trees. Some sites seem small but others had what appeared to be 30+ footers in them. It seemed as though at least some of those folks had to disconnect and park their tow vehicle on an angle to fit.

Nice small state park with 2 campground loops. Hillside loop is pet friendly, Lakeside loop is not, however people were walking dogs in the Lakeside loop. Most sites are on the small side, long campers beware. Our site was average length but not very level. For access from Rt 22 with an RV, I would recommend RT 981 in New Alexandria. Bath houses are updated. We were able to pick up plenty of TV stations. There are plenty of hiking, fishing, and bicycling opportunities. Note that Keystone Raceway is close enough to hear drag racing, and the weekend we were there it went on all day and night on Saturday.

Just Passing through, but we'll be back. This is a better than average state park. Hilly, our site was power only, back in, and was not level; bath house was centrally located. The other loop had waterfront sites. This is a large recreational area with a large lake for fishing, kyacking and hiking trails.

I have not camped here, though I go to the park just about every week. There are a few cabins and yurts to rent, as well as a few campsites, all on or near the water. There is a paved walkway that goes around the whole lake, with various trails shooting off from it throughout. The fishing in the lake is actually pretty good, and they keep it stocked. From what I have read, there are even sunken structures placed throughout the lake to accommodate fish. There is a large beach area and a playground near a large building that offers food and is used for activities in the summer. Also, a boat launch, and a small station to rent paddle boats/canoes I believe. The only boats allowed on the lake are non-motorized. The park is well kept, always very clean, and always in use. It is a very rare day when I go and there aren't at least a handful of other people there. When the weather is nicer, there are almost always people there walking dogs or hiking, fishing, or just relaxing at one of the many picnic tables. Its a beautiful little state park. If you are trying to be out in the woods, away from people, in a quiet campsite, this is probably not the place for you. But, if your looking for a really nice campsite or cabin on the water, with easy access to town and any amenities you might need, and don't mind people walking by a short distance away throughout the day, this is the place.
Toochmang would stay here again
