Wasn’t able to get official site as we were traveling with dogs but was able to pay a discounted price to stay at top of the hill on the grassy area near the front entrance. Was well shaded and even had a picnic table to utilize if we wanted to. Turning around at the bottom of hill where check-in was is a bit tricky but possible (1500 RAM + 22ft travel trailer). Not a far walk down the paved road if you do stay at top of hill. No hook ups in the grassy area but was easy to get in and out and back on the highway instead of staying at a sketchy rest area in the nearby region.

I have been camping here for years in tents and a 18ft trailer. Hiking is easy or as hard as you want. Lots of wooded sites to choose from. Always have a great time.
camper-721094 would stay here again

I had done a lot of research before booking a site last winter. The research I'd done was correct, site 7 is the most level and most private. I was happy to book it back in February for our Aug visit.
After a long travel day we arrived in the evening tired and beyond ready to set up and make dinner. We checked in and went to our reserved site #7. We found a tent set up on the site and no one around. We reported this back to the camp office and they offered to ask the other campers to move from our site. We were tired and didn't want to wait, so we took site #13.
With the exception of site #7 and #8 (a tent walk in site) the sites are along the edge or in the middle of grassy field. There isn't any separation between sites and they are not level. To get level on site #13 we were almost on top of the fire pit. It was difficult to hook-up in the morning because the front of our tow vehicle was a lot higher than our trailer and hitch. While setting up we got to hear every word, include many F-bombs, of our neighbor's phone conversation.
There aren't hookups. The bath house has one shower in each male/female side. It is inhabited with an impressive amount of spiders above your head.
Trailers and RVs over 28 feet are not advised. The road into the park is narrow with sharp turns and the sites are not level or designed for big rigs. Pets are not allowed in the campground and neither is alcohol.
There are new camping cabins that looked nice from the exterior. Site #7 and site #8 for tent camping are lovely, but I won't be back.
