This is an X-State Park that the City of Kerrville assumed operation in 2004. Very popular, nice park, but it’s really beginning to show its heavy use. Bandera Highway splits this park with check-in on the Guadalupe riverside of Bandera Highway. FHU sites in Deer Field Loop, which require a gate access code for access, are a good distance from the next site, with the site across the road are closer. Asphalt parking pad fairly level. Wooden picnic table, metal fire pit with cooking grate. Utility hook-ups in good condition at our campsite. The picnic table is at least 50 feet from the camper parking pad, which is chained to the concrete pad it sits on. Noise from Highway 173 and the approach pattern for the Kerrville Municipal Airport, so lots of low flying aircraft. Otherwise, campers were quiet and respectful. Deer came very close to us while sitting at the fire pit. Toilet/shower facility clean; women had 2 sinks, 2 toilets and 3 showers. There are two washers and two dryers on the backside of the Deer Field Loop toilet/shower facility, but the washer lids were ripped off, but lying there. Easy day trips to Hill Country towns from this park to include Fredericksburg, Austin, New Braunfels and San Antonio. In Kerrville, don’t miss Grape Juice Restaurant, brand new HEB open November 2020, Belks and Gibson’s Store. Camp Verde General Store and Restaurant is only a 20-minute drive.

Stopped here, Oct 26-28, along the way home to NC from Western States. Waiting out Zeta to come onshore in Louisiana. The campground is south of the road, but the Visitor Center/Check-In is north of the road. If you are pulling a long RV (I wasn’t, only 21’ trailer) do not go straight to camping area on south side because there is an entry gate that requires a code that you get from the check-in location and it is not easy to make u-turn after the keypad station. Fellow behind me informed me I needed to go across main road first to get the code. The sites are in nice wooded area with deer around. I think most are loop pull-thru off the gravel roads, the ones on the road I was on were. So in and out easy. Kerrville, on the Guadalupe River is a nice Texas town. I did want to refill one of my gas bottles and had to drive about 15 minutes through town to get to refill station. It was cold and rainy while I was there so I did not do anything in the park.

We stayed on the river side of this park and although people complained about highway noise, it didn't bother us at all. And we slept with the windows open. There are few RV sites on river side and all fairly level, well spaced apart and easy access to the river. If you can get a site on the outside of the loop, you have no one behind you. Not much shade but it was a fairly cool weekend so not needed. We biked the paved town bike trail, which is beautiful and well maintained and follows the river. Easy to ride a bike to a lot of places to eat. Closest is Brew Dawgz (about a mile). Food was decent, beer was cold and good.
We had a great time floating the river. Nice and wide and water temp was perfect.
$35 for full hook up is pretty reasonable. We will definitely be back!

Make sure you have you have extra long fresh water hose and power cable because, the way their site set up are you'll need them. Clean shower, loud traffic but people are nice.

We arrived for a 3-day weekend with reservations made for Deer Field Loop 150 days prior and full payment submitted via their on-line reservation system.
This was our 4th stay at this park. We love it because it is very quiet, close to Kerrville and the deer visit daily! This is a heavily used park and it shows it. Restroom/shower facility in Deer Field Loop is very old, but clean. There are 2 coin operated washer and dryers at the rear outside.
Our pull thru site #129 was challenging due to tree location, which caused us to back-out upon leaving.
In this loop, your neighbors are in clear sight. Campsite asphalt is in poor condition and caused us to do additionally leveling. Campsite concrete picnic table had exposed rebar when concrete is failing. Site grass was mowed. Campground roadway easy to maneuver.
Lots of terrific restaurants in Kerrville along with 2 HEBs and a Wal-Mart. Don't miss Gibson's!

The sewer hook up is on one side of the camp site and the electric and water is on the other side. There is a picnic table on a concrete pad with a nice awning over it. The only negative for this camping loop is the road noise (Hwy 173). It was nonstop during the day. We did not hear it in the camper since the a/c was on, but I would not want to camp in a tent or popup camper in this loop.
Check in was easy since we had already reserved and prepaid online. Supposedly there is wifi at the front office headquarters, but we were not able to access from our site. Also, the bathroom is quite a hike from the camping loop. There are eight over the air tv channels (no major networks).
It is a convenient campground to Kerrville, but if we camp here again we will camp in the Deer Field section of the park (across the highway from park headquarters). Lots of trails to access on that side of the park.

We have family in Kerrville and decided to stay at Kerrville Schreiner this past weekend. It is a great little city park along the Guadalupe River. The RV sites on the river side are located along 2 loops, one for 30 amp and one for 50 amp. The 30 amp loop was much more shady but was closer to the FM road. The park had a great spot right on the river for swimming and kayak access. Tons of hiking and biking and additional sites on the other side of the road as well
The cabins are the closest to the river and looked nice.
We found plenty to do in Kerrville. The splash pad at the main park in town, GrapeJuice restaurant, Basement Brewers, and Azul Bar/Lounge was awesome for live Jazz music
Everything at the park was clean and staff was friendly. If there was one negative, it would be the road noise. Not awful, but it was noticable at times.

We stayed here for a week in March 2019. We were on #230 on the Mountain View Loop which is water/electric only. Keep in mind, all the sites on the even numbered side in that loop had hookups on the opposite side. Your options are either cross your hoses below your RV or have your door face the road. I think this is the only loop like that. Because there was no separator, you did feel like you were out in the road a bit while camping. The full-hookup sites had an area between the RV and the road to prevent this issue. I wouldn’t stay on that side of the loop again. The leveling was crazy too on that site (and sites nearby). Our tongue jack was out about as far as she can go, but we managed. The park itself is nice and quiet. We didn’t spend a ton of time exploring because we mainly used it as a stopping ground to explore Fredericksburg and the surrounding state parks. It’s about 45 mins to Fredericksburg and the RV parks there are much more expensive. The check-in office is on the opposite side of the street as Mountain View Loop and Deer Field Loop. You go over there to check-in and then come back. Not a big deal though. We did not have good cell phone service, but with the booster it was usable for the hotspot. The sites were a good distance apart from each other and you didn’t feel like you were on top of your neighbor. They also have a dump station. Overall, we would stay here again, but I would choose a spot on the other side of Mountain View Loop or pick a full hook-up site.

The park entrance is not well marked. Using our GPS it directed us to the campground on the opposite side of the highway, where we were faced with a locked gate. It was a bit of challenge to get turned around with 33 ft behind you. The check in was fast and efficient. Our site was located near the river. It provided plenty of room, but the services were on the wrong side which again was a challenge. What is really great at this park is the concrete river trail, wide and in great shape. It runs about 4 miles back into the downtown. We biked it and it was very pleasant. Lots of birds, deer and other wildlife. All in all, a full service park for $28 is hard to beat. We enjoyed the town thoroughly.
