Overall Rating
We were surrounded by beautiful forest lands with the North Fork of the Salmon Creek rushing nearby (48.36.30N x 119.47.6W). Lots of birdsong, ground squirrels, butterflies, and we even caught sight of a baby mule deer. We walked the campground over the next couple of days and found a couple of other sites that we liked a bit better because they were closer to the creek, and if you head further up the main road we found two other hunting campsites (just before and just after the three mile post on the right) that were free (no vault toilet). There isn't much firewood for gathering. And, if you like overlanding, check out Muckamuck Mountain!
